CHAPTER 2

As I was walking home, I was still thinking about that villain.

"Why was he looking at me like we were close?..." I asked myself multiple times until I felt a raindrop touch my skin

"Shit... Its raining.. My luck is getting worse and WORSE by day" I waited at a nearby bus stop for the rain to stop.

A few minutes later my mom asked where I was because of the rain. "Mom I'm at the bus stop near the grocery. Can you please pick me up?" And of course my mom being the sweetest person I know did pick me up from that cold bus stop and we went home.

3 maybe 4 days had pass and nothing bad has happened (thankfully) until I get a call from the police station asking for help as a prisoner had escaped from jail, me being titled as Hero I HAD to hurry and help.

After wearing my suit I ran to the police station to get some clues on where that jail breaker might've went.

*At the police station*

"Hey sir, Do you have any clue on where they could've ran out to?" I said trying to catch my breathe after running.

The police men quickly respond "Yes! They went up those vents that leads to the garbage area".

A police man saw me trying to catch my breathe and gave me a glass of water.
"Thank you so.. much sir" I said after drinking from the glass of water.

After getting all the information they had, I got up and went to the place they saw him leave at.

*At the garbage area*

(gotcha..) I said to myself quietly. "SURRENDER NOW, DON'T WAIT FOR THINGS TO GET MESSY" I said angrily.

"Why should I? besides you're only the daughter of the hero not THE hero" he said with a sarcastic manner.

He was right.. But why would I sacrifice the safety of the city over something so little that wouldn't affect me at all?

"Your right but its my duty to protect the city now since my mother has retired" I said in a calm voice.

"Fine I'll surrender, but in 1 condition" He said after hearing my explanation.

I was shocked he actually surrendered but I quickly replied to his response "Sure, anything just surrender" .

"I want to meet my mom one last time before my execution..." He said in a sad tone.

"Oh... sure thing.." I felt bad for what I needed to do but I had no choice, I'll get a bad reputation if I let him escape..

*At his mother's place*

"Mama!" He said happily, finally reuniting with his mother knowing he will be executed days after.

*32 minutes passed*

"I'm afraid we have to go.." I said still sad about me arresting him again. He agreed to leave and I gave him to the police men again.

"Another successful catch huh?" The police man said after I gave the jail breaker to them. I just nodded to their question, and if you're wondering if I still feel bad, Yes I am still upset knowing that information.

Before I headed back home to rest, someone jumped infront of me from the rooftop of a building. (Victor The Hawk....What is he doing again??) I said in my head.

"Long time no see Victoria.." He said in an evil tone.

"What do you want again? Last time you were just looking at me from a rooftop!" I said, still irritated from his voice.

"Oh come on... it's not like I hit you or hurt you.." He calmly said it which made me more angry.

"Ugh! Just leave me alone! It's not your job to stalk me!" My voice got even more angry than before.

Before I spoke again he interrupted me, "I heared you replaced the old hero? correct?"

I responded saying "Yeah, got a problem with that? Besides she passed it down to me because she's getting old."

"I don't have a problem at all." He said in a question manner. Then he just vanished.

(Ugh! What is happening with myself?! I just let that evil mastermind escape again!) I said to myself angrily as I knew I had the chance to catch another bad person. I decided to let go of it and go home.

*At home*

"Hey mom, I'm home" I said in a lazy tone.

My mom heared my lazy tone of voice and said "A hero is never lazy Victoria." My mom said it like it was a funny or something.

"Mom, I'm going to bed okay? I'm so tired, this day was crazy enough for me" I said, with a frown on my face.

*At my room*

(I should've ignore that Victor guy, a hero must never speak to a villain!) I said still angry at myself after letting Victor the Hawk escape.

After that LONGGG day I decided to sleep to finish my day off. I was just about to fall asleep until I heared a knock on my window, it was Victor again.

"What do you want now?!" I said angrily while opening to window for him to enter.

"Nothing much, I just wanted to see what was going on with my favorite person" he chuckled right after.

(favorite?...) I asked myself, but then remembered I needed to respond quickly so it wouldn't look like I was thinking something at all.

"Are you sure that's all?" I asked still wondering why he came at my house AND HOW HE EVEN KNEW WHERE I LIVED!

"Yes now I have to go okay? Bye Victory." He said goodbye and left through my window.

A million questions ran up my mind after he left. Why he came? How he knew where I lived and mostly why'd he call me his 'favorite' even though we don't talk much at all?!

After trying to answer my own questions, I went back to bed and slept the whole night.

(Dreams)

"Huh? where am I? And why do I see me as a baby in the hospital?" I asked myself

"Oh it's my dear mother! But wait... Who's that baby next to me?..." I woke up suddenly because of this dream. I don't even know if this is a dream or a maybe  a nightmare!
