Charlotte was hoping when Allison said dress shopping, it would have been just the two of them. Now Stiles and Lydia were in the mix. She also had no idea what looked good on her because she never went to her dances - her parents always said if she had time for fun, she had time to train. Allison was also acting strange so Charlotte decided to give her some space and went to look at other things. Before she walked away, she glanced back at Allison, who had a red, black, and white dress in her hand but she wasn't alone...Peter was with her and it looked he was giver her fashion advice? Seriously? she thought. She decided to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"That's not your color. Sorry if that was intrusive, but considering your skin tone, I'd go lighter." Peter stated boldly.
Allison answered back "Cause I'm pale."
Peter smiled. "Fair. I mean you can't call skin like yours pale, not skin that perfect." He corrected kindly. Charlotte could tell Allison was uncomfortable, that was good though. She didn't need to trust Peter.
"Ok." she hung the dress that Peter nixed. She turned back around and tried not to make eye contact, getting nervous.
Peter continued. "Trust me, I have a...unique perspective on this subject." as he looked behind him to find a pretty silver dress. "Do you mind?" He reached for Allison's hand and compared it next to the dress. After a moment of contemplating, he spoke up again. "See? Much better."
He was beginning to get that predatory gleam is his eye - Allison was becoming increasingly uncomfortable around him. "You're not here alone, are you? Shopping for dresses, with friends?"
Allison nodded but kept quiet. It dawned on Peter "High school dance?"
Allison looked like she was ready to cry, "Formal."
Peter saw Charlotte and couldn't help himself "That girl is absolutely beautiful."
Allison followed his eyes "That's my cousin. She has a boyfriend." she told him plainly.
Peter smiled, the adoration on his face visible "He's a very lucky man."
Peter looked like he was going to say something else when over the intercom, the made an announcement about a blue Mazda being towed. "Did she just say blue Mazda? Oh, that's my car!" Allison exclaimed, dropping the dress.
Peter looked impressed. "I have to say, Scott, I continue to be impressed with your ingenuity. Just remember, you can't be every all the time."
Charlotte looked around and caught a glimpse of Scott hurrying off. Smart kid, she thought.
"You can act like you know me again" he said, coming up behind her.
She spun right around on him. "WHAT was that?!" Charlotte asked him, pointing to where he and Allison had just been.
"I wanted to meet her." he said innocently but his eyes betrayed him.
"Peter, you do not touch her. She's off limits." Charlotte said sternly.
Peter's eyes flashed red as he back her into a wall "I'm the alpha here." he growled into her ear. She wasn't in any danger, though. He was just trying to assert his dominance. So she decided to give it right back. She ran her hand up his chest, playing with the zipper on his shirt. That got his attention.
"Hey, remember what we did last night? You know, when your lips were on mine and our hands were all over each other?" She asked suggestively, looked up into his lustful eyes.
"Yes." he answered huskily, leaning down to her lips.
She turned her head and kissed his ear. "Well baby, if you want to do that again.....You're gonna stay the HELL away from Allison!" and pushed past him.
