A Romcom, what is it?

Well dear people that I conjured up in my own head, it's basically in short a romantic comedy.

Stories with this genre are usually targeted towards teenagers and young adults who are either interested in romance, those that enjoy a good laugh with cliche's trope or the romance in of itself which can be a hit or miss.

Sometimes I wonder what's so good about romance?

I mean I am a guy, a growing teenager that is attending school but the girls in it are not...How do you say it? Desirable?

What I'm trying to say is that there is no woman that catches my interest, I don't swing the other way, I'm perfectly straighter than a ruler.

How do I know that? Just picture a naked man in my own head and I nearly threw myself off the school roof, wishing the impact on the ground would rid me thoughts.

Anyways what was I thinking about before?

Oh right! Romcoms, there is 2 type of Romcom: 1. They have an Ikeman as the main protagonist with their stories centered around them having many women flocking around him just because he is perfect in everyway and has godlike talent, or 2. The protagonists role is shifted to a seemingly normal average student, usually a loner, but slowly gets popular when he helped the heroines out and they slowly fall in love with him as he slowly gets out of his loner shell.

Now normally stories like these have 2 possible ending, a harem ending and choosing the winning heroine, which is usually the first beautiful he meets while leaving the other heroines to lose but slowly recover their broken heart in the epilogue when they all live out their own lives.

But what sets me off in Romcom is that the protagonist are usually wimps and denser than a neutron star when they come in contacts with woman or accidentally brush their hands against one another.

They would make up random excuses that the girl that is OBVIOUSLY giving him a sign that she likes him but for some Dora the explorer reason, he will deny it and just say that she is just being nice!

Like dude! When she is actively trying to hold your hand and hug you closely while pushing her chest against yours, is a pretty big fucking hint that she wants you.

???:" Yo Fauster!? You good?"

Yes, that is my name.

And you are probably wondering who this voice belongs to.

???: "I've been trying to get your attention for a while but you look quite grumpy so I thought something was wrong."

The guy who is worried about me is what I like to call, the protagonist of this story called my Life, also knows as Derek.

Derek:

"Bro you are getting Ava and me worried man."
