Raigen

"Whea' you gone be all day?" August asked me while he put his shoes back on.

"With Paige then go stop by my parents house to have dinner with them. Why?"

He shrugged, and stood up before coming over to me and giving me a kiss. "Just askin'. You dont wanna come have dinner at yo boys house?"

"I wouldn't mind to, but it's daddy's birthday dinner. I actually thought you were going to come over still."

"Oh shit right, yea I'll be through. What time is that goin' down again?"

I rolled my eyes at how easily he forgot all about that. He was the one who volunteered himself to come over. I'm not surprised though, it's just another case of me and what I have going on being put on the back burner.

"At six August." I reminded him.

He nodded, and then leaned down and kissed me again before heading for the door. "Iight baybeh, I'll be there. Luh you."
"Love you too. I'll see you later." He smiled, and walked out the door, and I locked it behind him before walking back into my room so I could get dressed.

Paige had called early this morning wondering if we could spend the day together. I don't mind at all because quality sister time with her is always nice. she's just so work savvy that sometimes even chill time can turn into a business meeting for her. I hope today's an exception.

I took my shower, and decided to dress kind of nice today since we were having daddy's birthday dinner later, and August would be there. Tonight will probably be the most time we've spent together all week excluding last night, and I look forward to it. Both of us have busy schedules between my school work and his every day work so the little time that we get means everything.

I opted on straight hair for the day, and some light make up. Once I was done handling both of those things I was all dressed, and ready to go, and Paige was outside waiting for me. I slid into the backseat after I caught wind that Alegra had made herself comfortable in the passenger seat.

"Who invited you big head?" I asked.

"Three bad bitches; me, myself, and I."

I laughed at her along with Paige as we headed for the highway to go to the mall. "Hot mess for real." I laughed. "Anyways Paige what did you end up getting daddy?"

"I didn't know what to get him so I just got some more cologne, a nice Polo shirt, and one of those hats he likes to where when he mowin' the line. You know the little straw sun hat one?"

"Yea I know what you talkin' about. Damn it P! I still haven't gotten him anything."

"Raigen!"

"I know, I just didn't know what to get him. All your gifts sound good." I pouted.

I honestly haven't had a clue what to get daddy. I mean he's a man that doesn't really care for much. He's more family oriented then he is into side hobbies or anything like that. The most I know he's in to is collecting baseball cards, but there's no way I'm going to find any he doesn't have. He really deserves something nice though because daddy is the best father, husband and all of that and I can honestly say that, not just because I'm a daddy's girl either.

When we finally made it into the mall it was filled with people since it's a Saturday and all. Many people from my college was there, and even some older people I work with down at the newspaper.

"Yo why every where we go somebody gotta know you?" Alegra spoke up. "If I ain't no any better I'd think yo ass was famous too."

"Whatever. Don't nobody need your two cents all the time, and I don't know everybody."
