Chapter twenty-one- How we feel in love

Leafpool looked at the moon glowing in sky, just then she heard her kits run towards her "Momma!" Hollykit meowed running up to her "hey, how was Wind Clan?" Leafpool asked "we got to see BreezePaw's apprentice ceremony!" Lionkit mewled jumping around her "and we got to see what dad does when we're not around!" Jaykit mewed sitting next to her "Yep, So are you going to go?" CrowFeather asked "no we'll stay for a bit" she said looking at the kits who were playing with each other.

"Mommy tell us a story" Lionkit squeaked "ok, how about you all hear how me and your father fell in love" Leafpool mewled "Ok!" The kits said cuddling next to her, She lied down next to them, "well it started 6 weeks after the clans came to the lake".

Leafpaw tarted a piece of catmint off and walked by the lake, As she did the scent of Wind Clan hit her nose, she looked to her right and saw Crowpaw sitting on the wind clan border "What are you doing?" She said walking up to him "looking at the lake and the medicine cat apprentice talking to me" Crowpaw said looking at Leafpaw "on the Wind Clan border?" She asked "Yes, so what are you doing?" Crowpaw said a smirk on his face "I'm gathering on some Catmint and Fox tail" She said feel her fur stick up by his smirk on his face.

Crowpaw ran off into the meadow looking back at the lake where Leafpaw who was biting on a fox tail 'she's so beautiful..' he thought as he looked at her, Crowpaw walked back to the camp looking at his clanmates "Hey Crowpaw!" Nightpaw ran up to him a smile on her face "Hey, do you need something?" He asked her "No but are you going the gathering next week?" She asked "no" Crowpaw saw her face sink a bit "ok..." Nightpaw meows walking away, Crowpaw sat by the lake just then someone pounced on him "Wow!" Crowpaw hissed as he fell into the water, he looked up to see Leafpaw "Hehehe sorry I just saw you on the thunder clan side of the lake and...." She stopped talking as she stared into his eyes "and tried to make you leave", Crowpaw stood up and shook making sure Leafpaw was sprayed "Hey!" Leafpaw chuckling covering herself with one of her paws "That's what you get" He mewled playfully and pounced on her, All of a sudden someone pounced on him "SquirrelPaw!" Leafpaw yelled poling her sister off of him "he was attacking you!" SquirrelPaw hissed growling at Crowpaw "No he wasn't" She mewed "We were play fight" Crowpaw growls glaring at SquirrelPaw "... You should go" Leafpaw said "ok see you at the gathering next week" He said touching noses with her before leaving.

Leafpaw watched as Crowpaw left and then looked at her sister "Why did you do that!" She hissed her fur sticking up "He was attacking you" SquirrelPaw hissed at her "No he wasn't! We were just playing together!" Leafpaw yelled her fur sticking up, Leafpaw walked away from her sister angry at SquirrelPaw 'why did she think he was attacking me?!' Leafpaw thought.

Crowpaw walked on to the island as his clanmates pilled into four trees, He looked around hoping to see Leafpaw and he did she was sitting at the far side of the clearing, Crowpaw trotted up to her his heart bumping "Hey Leafpaw" He mewed, Leafpaw chuckled "Hey, do you need something?" Leafpaw asked "I want to asked if you could meet by the lake later, if that ok..." Crowpaw asked "Sure" Leafpaw mewled. As the gathering ended Crowpaw hid in the brambles as wind clan disappeared, he popped out and walked into the water and reached the other side. Just then Leafpaw showed up her brown tabby fur shining bright in the moonlight "Hey...." "Hey" They both said the award silence was so odd "Umm so do you want to talk" Crowpaw said his fur relaxing and sat next to Leafpaw "Sure" She answered sitting next to her.

As the night grew longer Leafpaw rested her head on Crowpaw's shoulder. Leafpaw watched Crowpaw leave her heart fluttering.
