Nonetheless, Elijah did feel his brother Klaus, had an obsession being the center of attention giving the lack of attention he'd gotten when they were human, another reason he owned a multitude of restaurants, bars, and night clubs; because he could have all attention on him as the owner.
"Gives him a deeper sense of his immortality," Elijah continued under the curious eyes of Amaryllis, the teen taking in anything Elijah would tell her about his past. "my businesses are mere ways to lessen my need to compel things for myself."
As he finished speaking the pair temporarily stopped in front of the host, or rather hostess's stand, which obviously held a fairly beautiful woman who looked maybe a year or two older than Amaryllis.
Although as the woman at the small stand looked up and noticed Elijah, a large smile quickly branched out over her face seemingly excited to see the original standing before her, without any signs of compulsion whatsoever.
"Mr. Mikaelson," The lady nearly gasped as she kept her eyes on Elijah, the excited smile quickly morphing into a amazed smirk as she gathered her wits and asked. "you're usual room?"
As she finished asking, Amaryllis naturally turned toward Elijah with a curious glance, watching as he gave the Host a stiff nod before she turned and motioned off toward the side.
Obviously showing them the way, although she didn't move from behind her podium, which did nothing to hinder Elijah as he began to lead the way for Amaryllis.
His left arm softly slipping behind her waist as he began to walk in the direction that the Hostess had motioned, not through a glance at the multitude of people they'd just walked passed.
However even as they walked Amaryllis continued to throw soft glance after glance at the man beside her, curious as to just how much he came here if he had his own private room at his brother's restaurant, especially as they clmbed a short set of slightly curved stone stairs.
"It's only open to those of my family," Elijah openly explained as he felt the eyes of Amaryllis running over his skin, causing him to softly look down at her as they walked up the fairly expensive stairwell. "my brother rarely finds himself in Baltimore these days, so I usually maintain the place."
As he finished they made it to a large wooden door, although beside it stood another worker dressed prestinely in a tailored dark blue suit, the man not moving to speak on opening the door up in order for them to enter the room.
The man offering Amaryllis a small smile as she passed although it being nothing but hospitable and in line for a worker, which was what brought her to returning the kind gesture not noticing the watchful eyes of Elijah.
Who gave the doorman a distrusting glance up and down, knowing better than to trust the workers in mire than a few of their families business as most of them just wanted a chance to kiss up and be turned, or released from some type of basic compulsion that would keep their secrets.
That being said as Elijah looked over the mid- twentes looking doorman, he did it more so in judgement and jealously, once again thinking back on his statement of wanting to remove the eyes of all those that landed on his treasure.
"I really don't know what to say," Amaryllis began to speak as she looked around the room, which was seemingly the upper floor to the resturant, the middle of which was open in a circular manner. "I've never been to a place like this before, the designs are so beautiful."
As she finished she gazed back up at the ceiling, that held extraordinary greek paintings and architecture, before she was brought back to the center of the room which was cut out in order to give a small view of the resturant below them.
The heads and soft words of those dinning below them traveling up from the opening in the floor, along with that a light trickle of music, light cozy jazz that seemed to permit from a saxophone and piano.
That being said as Amaryllis looked over the low lit and warmth giving room, Elijah looked over her with a gentle open mouth grin on his face, happy to see that his decision on destinations were correct.
The Original Vampire having expected that Amaryllis might favor a more traditional way of getting to him, rather than allowing him to simply push his all onto her, that being said it opened a multitude of other ideas in the man's head.
"Another one of my brother's fortes," The vampire spoke from as he stood beside the beautifully set circular table, still openly smiling at Amaryllis, who lightly peered over the balcony at the people below them. "art, usually painting, but architecture is only a side step from it in his opinion."
Turning back toward the man with a lightly tilt of her head, Amaryllis at first nodded taking in the information he'd just told her before realizing that she knew little about the man that brought her here.
More so kidnapped, but at this point it was more so an adventure than a horrid nightmare she'd barely find herself surviving, so she found she could let the small detail of how she got here go.
"I didn't know you had a brother," She spoke as she softly moved back toward the table, happy to find out something about Elijah since it seemed he already knew so much about her, well as much as he could publicly find out. "so you where human once?"
As she finished asking, Amaryllis softly moved over toward one of the seats at the table which ultimately brought Elijah to walk over to the same one, pulling the seat out for her and then scooting it in as she sat down.
Acting just as gentlemanly as Amaryllis had expected him to, before he moved over to the other side of the table, sitting down with a small smile still gracing the corner of his lips.
"Once upon a time, long before now," Elijah admitted openly, knowing that Amaryllis already had a solid resentment toward Elena and her friends, so it was a great chance that she'd keep their conversation to herself. "every vampire was human once, whether they remember it or not."
