"Mal remind me again why I have to wear this thing." Diaval said pulling on the black dress jacket he was wearing. "This shirt is itchy." Maleficent chuckled from behind a dressing wall. "Then why don't you just take it off and wear your normal shirt if it bothers you so much." she said. "Because you took your time to make it." Diaval said. "Well then come over here and I'll fix it." Maleficent said. Diaval walked behind the dressing wall and froze in his tracks, 'God she's beautiful' he thought looking up and down at her. Maleficent smiled at him and looked herself in the mirror on the dressing wall. "Do you like it Diaval?" She was wearing a beautiful blue green v-neck, it had bell sleeves and looked similar to the normal dress she wears. She managed to put her long hair wavy. "Wow." Diaval managed to say. "You never seem to stop amazing me." he said walking up to her. Maleficent chuckled and turned to him to see what it was that was bothering him. "Diaval what part is bothering you so much?" she asked looking him over. "Oh, this." He pointed to the fluffy part on his chest. "Hmm, guess your not the poet kind then." With her magic she changed the design to look exactly like his normal shirt. "Something's missing...Ah!" She used her magic again to change the color of his shirt to the same blue green color of her dress. "There, much better." Her hands reached up to his neck and hung them there. She looked up at his eyes and smiled. Diaval grabbed her hands, smiled back and couldn't resist but to kiss her. Maleficent deepend the kiss and lingered a little longer before she broke off the kiss. She smiled up at Diaval who was smiling right back at her. Diaval's hands went down to her stomach and he sighed contently. Maleficent smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. Diaval wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her closer to his chest which they end up nuzzling each other. Maleficent chuckled and pulled back. "We should go, Aurora is waiting." She grabbed his hand and walked out the room. "Oh my gosh! You look amazing!" Aurora said running up to them. "Wow! Come on their waiting for us." She said and grabbed them both by the arms. There was a lot of people at the ball today. Maleficent stood beside a doorway that lead to a balcony, she was looking at every decoration that Aurora had planned. She liked that it had flowers on every table and the floating lights made it feel almost like the Moors. The guest on the other hand she couldn't quite wrap her hands around. Some were dressed in weird looking dresses and some just looked like a normal peasant. Some wore very fluffy dresses others wore overly sized dresses and some wore elegant looking dresses. She looked around and found Aurora and Philip talking to some royal people from another land. She saw Diaval in a corner entertaining kids with his shifting. He shifted into small animals so the children wouldn't be afraid. Maleficent had the most perfect smile on her face showing her pearly white teeth. Music started playing, the tables were moved, and everyone joined in to a dance. Maleficent got startled by someone touching her shoulder. "May I have this dance?" Diaval asked. "You know how to dance, Diaval?" Maleficent asked smiling and taking her hand in his. "Well, Aurora tought me a little." he chuckled. They walked to the middle of the ballroom joining everyone. "Aurora, look." Philip said pointing at her Godparents. Aurora turned to were he was pointing to see that her Godparents had joined the dance. She smiled and pulled Philip with her to join in as well. Maleficent looked into Diaval's eyes and smiled. "So, how bad am I?" he asked. Maleficent shook her head, "You're very good at this for a beginner." she said. Diaval chuckled and twirled her around. "You're enjoying this." she said. "Well since when do I get to take the lead." Diaval chuckled. Maleficent raised an eyebrow but still smiled. After a couple of songs passed Philip had called Diaval to ask him a few questions. Aurora walked up to Maleficent smiling. "I didn't think you would join a dance." she said. "Neither did I." Maleficent chuckled. "Do you like it, the decorations I mean." Aurora asked. Maleficent looked around and smiled. "You did good beastie. I love it." Aurora smiled the biggest smile content that her Godmother loved the decorations. "You're highness, the Queen and Princess of Arendelle have arrived." One of the guards said. "Oh, yes, I'll be right there." Aurora said smiling. "Godmother you should meet them, the Queen has magic too, she makes snow, I believe she made a snowman called Olaf that came to life, you should really meet them." She said. "Maybe later beastie, I need some air." Maleficent said smiling. Aurora nodded, "Godmother if anyone causes you trouble you can tell the guards and they'll handle it." she finished. "Alright." Maleficent chuckled. Aurora walked off and disappeared through the crowds. Maleficent walked out to the balcony breathing in the fresh air. After a few minutes she got startled by someone wrapping their hands around her waist from behind. She looked up to see Diaval smiling down at her. "You scared me Diaval." she said shakily. Diaval chuckled resting his head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry mistress." he said. She glared up at him and he laughed at her reaction. "I told you not to call me that anymore." Maleficent said. Diaval hugged her closer and kissed the top of her head. "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist though." Maleficent sighed resting her head back on his shoulder. After a few seconds they saw fireworks explode in the sky. "What was that?" Maleficent asked curiously. "Interesting aren't they? Their called fireworks, they use them for celebrations." Diaval said letting go of her waist and walking a few steps away from her. Maleficent kept looking at the set of fireworks, they had different sizes and colors. She was so busy looking at the fireworks that she didn't notice that Diaval actually let her go. "Wait what is there to celebrate?" she turned around to see him kneeling on the floor and smiling up at her and holding something in his hands. Maleficent was surprised, she tried to speak but no words would come out. Diaval chuckled and started to speak. "Maleficent, love, we've been through a lot, the day I met you was the best day of my entire life. We've had our ups and downs, we've raised a child, we've gone to battle and survived. That night when you got your wings back my heart skipped a beat. We've confised our love to each other in so many ways, through words, through touch, through small jokes and looks. And seeing you now I wouldn't wish for a better mate," he stood up, walked up to her and carresed her cheeks. "Mal, will you marry me, live a new adventure, be my one and only love?" Maleficent was almost in the brink of tears before she answered, "In all my life I never thought I would hear those words. I always thought I was meant to be alone, that I would never find love after what happened," she paused and put her hand over his. "But then you came, you changed everything, you stayed by my side even though you could've left any time, you saved my life and I'll always be thankful for that," she lowered his hands to her waist and carresed his cheeks. "Of course I'll marry you, I'll marry you a thousand times just to know that you'll always be right by my side." she finished and kissed him deeply. After what felt like hours but were actually mintues they broke off. Diaval smiled and carresed her hair behind her ear. He grabbed her hand and placed the ring on her ring finger. They kissed once more and walked to the edge of the balcony. They were back in the same position they started. Maleficent leaned her head back and looked up at Diaval. Diaval looked down at her. The fireworks reflected in eyes which made them look even more beautiful. He smiled and kissed her forehead. And so the night went on, the kingdom enjoyed the fireworks and danced to music while Maleficent and Diaval stayed outside in each others arms with their hands on Maleficent's stomach.
