Diana had work to do. Work was piling up for movies that were in the midst of production, paper work, schedules, and the Anita Blake issue. Barry, Diana's father, wouldn't let up on the issue. He wanted it done as soon as possible. As far as Diana was concerned, all he cared about was the company and she couldn't let it fall, or she'd lose it. That's why she hadn't seen or spoken to Chris in a month aside from a 'how are you' now and again. But the work was finally weighing down on her and desperately needed to relax, so she drove to Chris's penthouse. She didn't know why, but he was the person she wanted to see.

She pulled up and parked in the lot nearby. She makes it in the building and to his hotel suite and knocked. A minute later he opened it in a tank top and a pair of Calvin Klein's, which made Diana forget all about sleep. He gave her a look of surprise before she pulled him closer and brought his mouth down to hers. His arms engulfed her waist and pulled her inside. They roughly kiss with her body pressed against the door. Chris untangles Diana's hands from around his neck and put them above her head. He trailed kisses down her neck, chest, breast, and belly button before appreciating her nakedness against the door.

"I missed you," Chris breathed against her neck after they both found their release.

"I missed you too," Diana said airily. "But that's not why I came, even though it does make me feel better."

Chris sat her down, adjusted himself, and walked to the bar and made them both a drink. He handed hers and sat on the arm of the couch across from her. "What's up?" he asked.

"I was looking for a massage because I've been so stressed at work lately," she said, folding one of her legs on the couch.

"That can be  arranged, but what's going on at work that's stressing you out?" he asked, taking a drink from his glass.

"Timing. I have so much work to do, things that haven't been done, and I'm up to my nostrils in paper work. Then there's my daddy. He won't leave me alone to run the company like a CEO should," she says, getting worked up.

"Aye, calm down. I'm sure you'll get the paper work done and the rest. As for your dad, ignore it. You're the CEO now and there's nothing he can do to change it, he handed you the chair," Chris said, trying to ease Diana's worry.

"He can," she said and seeing Chris's confusion, "my position as CEO isn't final. My daddy has me there for two and a half years to see if I'm capable of running the company on my own. I signed papers stating such. So basically, I can't ignore him."

"And Anita Blake would be what seals your fate," he said and drank the rest of his alcohol and went for a refill.

She didn't say anything because he already knew the answer, he said it.

"We knew this already," he whispered. "Let's talk about something positive while I give you a massage. That door couldn't have eased the aches in your back. I know it did elsewhere though," he said with a smirk.

"Cocky ass," she said and smacked him on his cocky ass.

He turned around. "That felt good."

She burst in to fits of contagious laughter and then they both were laughing. Chris walked off to get some body oil and came back.

"Come," he said walking toward his balcony.

Diana wanted to object but he was walking away so she followed. He'd stepped out onto the balcony and waited for her. She came out and the first thing she noticed was the beautiful scenery. The tress were a beautiful shade of green, the lights a radiant gold, the crystal blue water beneath them with the sunset above. Then she noticed how high up they were. Diana wasn't afraid of heights but she took note of it. Then she looked around his balcony. It was sharp. There were tables, lounge chairs, and in the far corner a hot tub. She was no rookie to luxury, having a mansion that she considered a large house, but this was breathtaking and it felt relaxing. The night air was warm and soothing. She walked closer to the edge and just looked down.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Chris asked. "It's why I bought it."

"Yeah, it's worth it," she said when she found her words.

"Yeah, I wouldn't want to be in a big place all alone, you know?" he asked.

This reminded her off her big place and he hadn't been there regardless of her many visits to his.

"I have a big place. But I understand," she said.

"Well, let me give you that massage," he said.

Diana couldn't feel more at peace than she did in that moment. She had this man's hands on her body in this nice environment. All her problems from the day faded away into a distant memory because now she felt comfortable, right.

After her massage, Diana and Chris talked about their lives and laughed constantly. That night they fell asleep on the balcony facing one another in opposite chairs.
