A Bryles Story

Chapter 2: A huge disappointment

So next day I woke up with a lot of energy. It was Saturday so dance started in the morning. I couldn't wait to see Myles again! I went to take a shower, I didn't wanted to look bad in front of him. As soon as I finished I got dressed and I picked up my things to dance. I was really excited! Also we had to go to Abi's house because her mom couldn't drove her to dance , her car was broken. Abi and I are best friends, we met about 6 years ago and we are unbreakable. When I arrived there I saw her and we hug, and then we got in the car. We started talking about or things when suddenly my phone started ringing, it was a message from Myles! And I was freaking out because his message was exactly this:
- Good morning beaut! Can't wait to see you today!
Abi read the message, and she started laughing, and with a strange smile she said:
- Is the new guy your boyfriend?
And with a really strange face and a low voice I said:
- Of course not! We, we are just friends, nothing more.
And she started laughing again, and what she said started freaking me out a little:
- Well, he's kinda cute, and he dances really good, you have to be in love with him.
I looked at her totally surprised and said:
- Abi, you just said he is cute, maybe you are the one that's in love with him.
And she said:
- He isn't ugly! That's what I meant
And we stopped talking about it, it was kinda uncomfortable.
I read the message again and answered him:
- Can't wait either!
And he send me this cute face with two hearts on the eyes, he was super cute!
When we arrived to the studio, we saw there Myles and Kolton talking, they seemed to be good friends. We said hi to them and when Myles saw me he jumped and started running towards me, and with a huge smile, he said:
- Hey! How is everything going?
- Hey Myles, everything is perfect. I wanted you to know Abi, she is my best friend.
Noah looked at Abi, and something was wrong... He looked at her with a very shinny eyes, and with an amazed face... Abi said:
- Hey Myles, you danced really good yesterday! I loved it!
- Thanks Abi! I also wanted to show you something I learnt yesterday, come with me Abi.
And he took Abi's hand! I'm sure he felt in love with her... How unfair is my life! Kolton came and said:
- What did just happened?
He was also freaking out, I thought maybe Myles was starting to like me... But... Maybe I was wrong...
When dance class started, the teacher said:
- Okay, today we will do duets, take a duet partner and start working with it now, tomorrow we will present them.
So I looked for Abi and I asked her if she wanted to be my duet partner, but my worst nightmare was true, she said:
- I'm sorry Briar, my partner is Myles. You were right, he's really cute!
And she took Myles' hand and walked off to studio b. Kolton asked me to be my duet partner, I wanted to be Abi or, even Myles... But Kolton was okay for me.
As soon as classes finished, Abi and I picked up our things and were to my mum's car, and before getting in, Myles shouted:
- Bye Abi! Can't wait to see you tomorrow!
What about me? Yesterday he said to me incredible things and now, he didn't speak to me, I just wanted to go home and cry. I started to have feelings for him...
We were on the car and Abi had a really big smile, and her mobile ringed, it was Myles again... They started talking and Abi said:
- Myles is super cute, I'm starting to like him a little...
Okay, I wanted to DIE at that moment... All that I could repeat in my head was this: Someone with a big gun can just shoot me on my head so I can die?
I couldn't believe it...
We arrived to Abi's house and we said goodbye to each other. As soon as I arrived home, I ran to my bedroom, closed it with a key and I stayed there till next day, my desires to go to dance disappeared...
