They were in the parking lot. There were students and professors around them. Yet, none of that seemed to matter.

Luckily his phone started to buzz knocking them back to reality.

-------------------------------------------------

Aakash sat inside the sound room listening to the recording that Vasisht had sent him on loop.

It was a medley of all songs from "Kandukondein Kandukondein"

"En manam unakkoru vilayaatu bommaiya

Enakena unarchigal thaniyaaga illaya

Nenjin alai urangaadhu"

These lines in her voice was perfection. It definitely fit the situation well too.

He could not get her out of his mind nor his heart.

It was true that he could not just make a decision by himself to bring her onto the band but that is not why he reacted the way he did.

He let his frustration and anger cloud his judgement. It not only hurt the girl he really liked but also sabotaged the chance of getting a great singer for the band.

To find someone better than her as a female lead singer was going to be close to impossible given the short amount of time they had.

He sat there alone with his head between his knees completely exhausted.

The only person who could help him out of this was his mom who seemed to know the solution for every problem that had ever had. Without wasting another moment, he picked up his mobile and called "Amma <3".

Karthik and Tara were both baffled by how they act like teenagers with a crush when they met each other.

Both broke into a subtle laughter when the phone started to ring.

Thanking God for preventing his reckless behavior, Karthik answered his best friend's call.

"Dei phone eduka ivlo neram ah?", Dhruv asked with a heavy tone.

"En ivlo padhatam? Ippo dan da phone ring aachu...", Karthik tried to calm him down.

"Tara phone edukala. I am worried sick. Nee avala paathiya? Na ippo college varatuma?", Dhruv grumbled.

"Ava en kooda dan iruka. Ringer off panirka pola. Wait pannu kudukren", he passed the phone to Tara.

"Kutty nee ok va? Phone edukala, Message ku reply illa. Bayandhuten", Dhruv panted.

"Anna na ok dan. Class la irukra apo ringer off panten apram on panna maranten. Please calm down. Thanni kudi. I am so sorry", she apologized.

"Illa ma its ok. Nethu unaku odambu mudila la... so konjam bayandhuten. I am ok", he reassured.

"Nee lunch sapdu... evening veetla pakren. Avanta kudu", she passed the phone back.

"Sorry da. Just anxious. Adhan. Aama ava en unkooda iruka?", Dhruv's voice suddenly changed from nervous to naughty.

"Dei.. Lunch thaniya va sapduva. Adhan oru company ku", he reasoned with a shy smile.

"Ohhhh apdi. Seri da... Sapta seri dan", Dhruv said and cut the call.

"En ipdi sirikreenga?", Tara questioned looking at the way he blushed under his smile.

Although he tried very hard to not blush by biting the insides of his cheeks, the damage was already done.

"Adhu... Adhu...", he dragged unable to reason with her with was a sight to behold for her.

"Seri vidunga... Unga car edhu?", she asked putting him out of the delicate spot.

"Car illa bike", he said with a wink which was clearly not what she was expecting to hear.

This was the first time she was going on a bike with a guy who was not her brother or father. Although she had friends who were guys, she usually preferred to drive herself.

She was clearly more than attracted to him and yet it wasn't very straightforward.

He was her brother's best friend. Her mom and dad considered him family. She did not want to complicate the relationship they shared by any means.

She never in her wildest craziest dreams would have dared to imagine dating him and yet they were here.

When he said she was special, it felt like the word had a new meaning.

It was everything that she wanted them to be. Their bond to be.

Was it too much to ask for ?!

To be in love felt too far fetched but she still wanted to be his special someone even if that did not mean anything long term.

For right now, she wanted to be his special girl because he was most definitely her special guy.

Will they be more ?! Will they have to be more?! Will they want to be more?!

She did not know and somehow that was liberating because it made her want to appreciate the present.

"Ippo nee enna yosikra?", he asked the same question she had posed only a few minutes ago.

"Solla therila aana", she struggled to find the right words to describe all those thoughts that were suffusing her mind.

"Aana... ", he was curious to know.

"I like this feeling... to just be in the moment. Truly enjoy this very moment to the fullest", she explained with a deep smile.

It was staggering that she say something so profound in such simple words.

This girl was something else.

"What would it feel like to be the love of her life?", he asked his heart that was racing like never before.

"Are you ready to find out?!", his heart retorted back.

Was he?!
