".. Pardon?"

"I don't know anyone who'd send me an ominous gift like this but.."

Yerim exhaled deeply, before smiling at me.

"That's terrible.."

"It's okay. I'll try to raise them."

"???"

"It's full of carefully gathered, pregnant spiders so I was thinking of raising a mass army of spiders."

"Ah."

"Come to think of it, the sender intentionally gathered an argiope type of spiders which lay about 9000 eggs at once."

".... I see."

I paused. With the smile on her face which looked really genuine, I didn't know if she was lying or not.

"You haven't been able to move your hand for a while. Would you like me to hold it for you?"

I asked out of courtesy, noticing how busy both her hands were that her other items were basically falling messily on to the seat.

"That... Would be appreciated."

She carefully handed over the box as my phone notification rang.

[You have received one new mail.]

I paused, before tapping the notification at the top of my phone; to see that it was the anonymous fan who had texted me before.

-??? : You got my gift lol?

-Yul123 : You again? And what gift?

-??? : You know. The pregnant spiders?

I furrowed my eyebrows as I read the text in dread. What was this person trying to imply?

-Yul123 : You were the one who sent Yerim the argiope???

-??? : My bad. Did I accidentally send it to that extra?

-??? : Well. All that matters is that it's in your hands now.

I let out a sigh, wondering why I was still even bothering to talk with this person; whom I know for sure is definitely a sasaeng.

And in what universe was pregnant spiders carefully gathered, considered a gift?

-??? : It's almost 7. My poor Yul.

-??? : You know I love you right?

-Yul123 : Do I know you?

-??? : Yes. I believe you do. [1 attachment]

I squinted my eyes, clicking the attachment in hopes of finding out who this sasaeng was, but was taken aback the moment I realised that this person had actually sent me the ORV novel???

Seriously. What kind of crazy lunatic—

I paused for a moment, piecing the things together, still firmly pressing the box in my hands as to not let the spiders inside get out.

Firstly this crazy fan texted me, saying my life would change tomorrow (aka today) at 7pm. She sent me insects in a gift box which generally layed lots of eggs... And she sent me the ORV novel?

Chills ran down my spine as my eyes flickered up to the clock.

6:59 pm.

I might be paranoid, I might be getting a bit ahead of myself. But.

This was eerily similar to what happened to Dokja before his favorite novel became reality.

"Yul–ssi? You can give me back the box now... —"

I widened my eyes as Lim Yerim in front of me, quickly distorted before disappearing completely from my view.

And with every ticking second, a few other passengers started to disappear one by one as well.

Perhaps it was coincidentally, that the train had no one left but me by the time the clock had hit the most waited time.

I looked down at the notification on my phone again, freezing at my place.

??? : What did I tell you?

+

7:00 pm.

Tick, it felt like the world was stopping.

Then I heard a voice:

[The free service of planetary system 8612 has been terminated.]

[The main scenario has started.]

And with that, I quickly realized the situation as my thoughts lined up with that of my favorite novel.

In that moment, my world vanished. Replaced by a more grandiose one.

That was probably the day, the Genre of my life changed.
