Summary:

Review:
I felt the ending is a little bit rush, like fast forwarding. I like the early part, I still felt the up and down of the story. But midway it become a narration. It revolve around the palace conflicts which doesn't involve MC that much. MC is just like a bystander and focus on defending ML family. While ML is busy plotting behind the scene. The novel only shows the result of ML scheme. Both ML and MC are rebirth. While ML use it to avoid his family death, MC doesn't show much use.
In past life, MC was taken away by her mother. MC parent is divorced. Both remarried and has their own children. MC live with his father. MC has a lot dowry, that's why her mother want to take her when her new family stationed out of capital. When they are back to the capital, MC father and grandma already died because of the palace conflicts. They are not a prominent family but got swept away due to family connection. MC stepmother is in concubine Zhu faction. So when concubine Zhu got defeated by ML, MC family got implicated.
MC was married to ML who is sick and about to die. It is said ML mother who choose MC. But not sure how or why since MC family more or less are ruined already. ML family also ruined but they still a Marquis family because he support the new emperor aka Qin Wang. ML father died in mountain, ML sister suicide because she is forced to be married to 3rd prince. ML younger brother was crippled. ML cousin, Ming Jinrou married 3rd prince in order to expose his crimes and avenge ML sister.
ML is poisoned and soon will die. MC took care of him. Then took care of his family for years. MC raised their adopted son before she died.
Then they both rebirth. At first MC just focus on her own family. She tried to break away from her mother scheme. ML helps her behind the scene. Then MC realize that ML also reborn. They met and confirm each other. ML tried to marry MC again. He revealed his intention to his cousins. So both cousins help him meeting MC in secret.
This time ML tried to make his sister and brother take up some works for the family so they won't be naive and used by others. In the past life, the younger brother loves princess ruyang which led to 3rd prince scheme against ML sister. MC remind ML to check on his younger brother when they are at Zhu family banquet.
MC still actively dodging the schemes until she married ML. After marriage she just focus on family affair. The story also shift to the palace conflicts.
In the end, the queen and concubine zhu cooperate to take away MC and ML family. They faked the 3rd prince death to frame Qin Wang. ML comes to the rescue. The concubine said she also plotted ML father. ML got anxious because he didn't prepare on his father side. ML plan to find his father. MC said this time if he died, she won't wait for ML. She'll also die with him. ML accept it. Then MC just wait for ML coming back. She is prepared to take her own life when ML come back.
