Mitch's P.O.V.

As soon as I got out of the apartment, I took out my phone and shot a quick text to Troye

'On my way babe. Be there in a few.'

As I walked to the front door, I dug my keys out of my pocket. Scott sure was acting funny today. It was like he was trying to hide something.

I dismissed the thought as I hopped in the car. He was probably just feeling weird because of all the drinks he had last night. Besides, Scott would never hide anything from me.

My phone dinged, so I checked it before I started the car. It was from Troye.

'Hurry.'

The tone of the message set me on edge. I quickly turned the key in the ignition and sped out of the parking lot, all the while, my mind was racing. What could be wrong? Was Troye hurt?

In ten minutes I was pulling into Troye's driveway. I found the key to his house and unlocked the door, still very worried.

"Troye?" I called. "Babe, what's wrong?"

I heard a door slam from the back of the house, and heavy footsteps coming towards me.
"Troye?"

"Hey," he said, though his tone wasn't casual, as it should've been. It was strained and angry.

"What's wrong?" I asked again, putting my hands on his shoulders.

The brunette whipped around, knocking my hands away.

"What's wrong?! What's wrong is that I heard you were out at a bar last night flirting with another guy! Care to explain??"

I was confused, since Troye hadn't come to the bar because he had to go to dinner with his parents.

"How would you even know?"

"Tyler was there! He said he was just minding his own business and having a couple of drinks with the guys when he saw you flirting with some blond dude!"

"I have no idea what you're- Ohhhhh!" I said laughing. "You saw me with Scott! He was super drunk last night, and he gets really intimate with everybody when he's drunk!"

"So you're telling me that you live with this guy and he flirts with you? You expect me to believe there's nothing going on between you two?!"

"There's not!" I said, surprised that he didn't trust me.

"Don't lie to me!!" He yelled, suddenly getting very close to me. He was a lot taller than I was, and it made me feel threatened.

"I'm not!" I put my hands on his chest, trying to calm him down.

Then he did something I never thought he would ever do. He reared back with all of his might and sent his fist into the side of my face.
I fell to the floor, my face throbbing.

"I told you not to lie to me," he said in a flat tone, and he left me with those words and a bruised face.

How could he do this to me? Didn't he love me? How could he not trust me?

With all the questions I had, I knew one thing for certain. This incident, was something that Scott could never find out about.
