The creature wasn't seen for a while and the house next to me which housed the man who seemed to be the leader of the group, rebuilding a part of his house, why? I wouldn't know, but it looked like a cage for something Strong and mysterious. The group seemed to avoid me, if anything their faces would morph into distrust and disgust at the very sight of me.
They simply informed me to stay in my house and to lock the doors, every night seemed like they monitored around the house as if they'd catch it in the same manor as before. Soon I found myself in my house as though I was also a creature in a cage.
This gave me time to think about why I'm being treated the way that I am. I was bait. I thought back and it seemed to have hit me like a brick, maybe at first this creature was after me but there is no way it didn't catch up with me after I blacked out. It left me there and let those people find me, the only thing it probably didn't predict was getting caught while it was vulnerable. It had so many chances to hurt or kill me and instead it seemed to watch my every move.
It was studying me.
After days of no luck, one of the females of the group eventually informed me that I am free to exit the house but to stay close. As I left the compound of 4 walls, I noticed that the van I originally woke up in was gone and everyone else's vehicles were in their garages so there was no escape from the miles and miles of open fields and woods beyond that. I sat out in the grass without shoes and/or concern. They continued constant rebuilding of the other houses next to me, of course mine not being touched or modified whatsoever. They would occasionally come out to watch me, a glare prominent on their faces, for a few minutes before leaving back inside.
At some point, every day that I sat outside and with my arms wrapped around my knees, for hours a different animal each day would be on either side of me, again not even half a foot away, again each not quite looking exactly like how that animal should look, would sit next to me but instead of its body and head facing straight at me, it would have it's body facing the same way I was but its head would still be looking straight at me. Of course the moment a door opened, that presence would instantly disappear.
My days never seem to end and I can't escape from the peering eyes of everyone and everything but one set of eyes seemed to see me as important and interesting, I may be lonely among the humans but this thing kept me company in my isolation. I don't know what it is but its' aura wasn't menacing at any moment unlike those who seem to see me as useless bait.
Will anything change?
