Fate is tricky.
At best, second best,
Superior to past perception, not what could be,
Bested only by myself.
Fate is a trickster.
He promises gifts, in false packaging
And believing is what fuels him.
Much like the Joker,
Remove him from your deck of cards,
Keeping queens and kings, only playing with such.
Clowns are meant to amuse you, not abuse you
And I see no reason as to why a queen should entertain a jester.
Remembering that skilled players always defeat a clown,
Do not bother to participate in a fool's game.
Create new rules without having to boast,
Convince yourself of your own fibs,
And gentleman dare not follow your blind gospel.
Fate is not a gentleman,
Who paints smiles on his face to hide the lines of his frown.
Make me laugh my personal fool,
For you cannot color me to cry,
With the paint dripping from your tears.
