"And Black Widow, oh my God. She's the hottest person I've ever laid eyes on." Alexia feels a flair of jealousy erupt within her which she squashes immediately.
"The things I'd let her do to me Ale. It's honestly criminal." Alexia can't believe she thought Dani was straight, she is so cute and sweet and very very gay. Alexia's ears perk up at the nickname.
"Ale, huh?" She jokes, the tips of Dani's ears turning red, she keeps her hand in Alexia's. The stars outside sparkle down on them, like their own romcom. She shifts her eyes to the groups of people making their way to the movies. It's shocking how many people are here, a proper community. Surviving together.
"El, you okay?" Alexia's other hand waves infront of Dani's face and she licks her lips before nodding.
"Yeah sorry. The nickname. Just wanted to try it out. We'll be rooming for a while and I thought it would be cool if we had nicknames." Her cheeks start to colour and Alexia notices it, embarrassed Dani is even cuter than regular Dani.
"No, I like it. But if you call me Ale I get to call you El." Dani smirks and hums pretending to weigh up her options.
"Deal." She smiles up at Alexia and the charge in the air is back. All the thoughts from earlier on circle through both of their heads. Kiss her. The darkest parts of their minds say. The parts of their minds that each of them want to listen to. But the universe separates them.
"Watch it." A middle aged man with a beard calls out shoving Dani straight to the ground. Their hands disconnect and the man looks rather drunk. Dani scrambles to stand up while Alexia and the man square up to eachother. Threatening words are being said that Dani can't hear.
"Take your girlfriend and get the fuck out of here freak." Alexia pushes him once and he stumbles a bit. Her eyes are wild and she doesn't know how she got this angry this quickly.
"Or what?" She spits and he tries to swing, she side steps his advance and pulls his arm behind his back. He crumples to the ground and Dani stands shocked. Alexia shoves him down to the ground and grabs her hand. They rush into the library out of breathe and full of adrenaline. The only thing that is racing through Dani's head is that Alexia tops Natasha any day.

Carnage. That's the only word that comes to Alexia's head. Blood, fighting and violence, everything she tries to avoid. But if it makes Dani happy then she'll sit through it.
"Yes! The pose!" Dani laughs happily munching on the popcorn Alexia grabbed earlier on. Dani's legs are thrown on top of Alexia's, which did make Alexia blush when it happened. But now Alexia finds her hand running absentmindedly up and down her leg. It's now Dani's turn to blush, red quickly finding it's way on her face but quickly disappears after a brutal takedown from Captain America, Alexia cringes and this is the first time Danielle notices.
"We can leave if you want." She offers getting up, she moves to swing her legs off Alexia's lap but a strong hand stops her. "You want to watch, so we'll watch." This time the blush doesn't leave so she moves back and gets comfortable. She shifts uncomfortably heat tingling her body and she can't help but look over at Alexia.
What she didn't expect was Alexia was looking directly at her too. Her sharp features and hazel eyes are the features that capture Dani's attention completely. For Alexia it's the button nose and soft sking that she wants to touch. But both are thinking the same thing. Lean in and kiss, like the movies.
A subtle shift from Alexia who slowly moves her hand up Dani's leg takes her breath away. She moves closer and just when Dani's sure she is a about to kiss her, she instead grabs a piece of popcorn and tosses it in her mouth. Shit. She tears her gaze away and looks up at the movie.
She doesn't know why she didn't kiss her. She was going to but a tiny sliver of doubt changed her mind. She's known her a day and she was already trying to kiss her. No way. Too fast. She knows she's interested, at least that's something.
She recognises the intrigue in her eyes, the deep brown that has taken her heart and twisted it when they make eyecontact. She hasn't forgotten about Aurora, far from it. But she knows what real feelings are now, feelings that make you mad at how they creep up on you. They weren't as strong with Rory but this time, this time they are indestructible.
After the movie finished Dani sat up and yawned tired, stretching out she turns to crack her back, a figure sneaks up behind her and her eyes widen but close to small slits, examining their intentions.
"A Marvel Fan I see." She observes inquisitively. Dani frowns but nods slowly and carefully.
"How can you not be? It is the best franchise in the world." She laughs and nods also, what is her intention Dani thinks.
"Agreed. Also has the hottest cast ever." Dani hums and interlaces her pinkie with Alexia for security. She doesn't know how to be friendly with someone.
With Alexia it's different the words just fall out of her mouth, she doesn't have to think about what she might think of her, it's easy and uncomplicated.
"Are you challenging me to an MCU off?" She jokes playfully raising her eyebrows. Alexia takes the time to study the dirty blondes features. A sharp jawline and insanely cute laugh.
Alexia blushes when she feels her pinkie being interlocked, it comforts her to think that even though she isn't in the conversation Dani still wants her here. The mystery girl laughs and shakes her head.
"Nope, was looking for a friend to talk Marvel with," she points to two bodies slumped completely asleep,"those two wouldn't know a good movies if it hit them in the face." Dani laughs, a proper laugh that brings out her dimples and Alexia sucks in a breathe with how many feelings it makes her feel.
"Looks like it." They both laugh and Dani extends her hand in introduction. She's never had friends before and so she finds it strange, foreign. She never had to introduce herself normally she'd rely on her brother to do that but not anymore. This is a new Dani, an improved Dani.
"Danielle Quinn. I'm new." She smiles, her dimples rise on her cheeks and her heart flutters waiting for her to take her hand.
"Jen Beattie. Nice to meet you." The Scottish accent strong, she also has a strong grip and Dani tries to hide her grimace by smiling harder. She points to the sleeping beauties.
"What about them? They Scottish too?" She asked curious, she's only ever had friends that her brother introduced her to. No Scots though.
"That one there is Kim and the other one is Katie. Kim's also Scottish but Katie's Irish." Dani smiles and pauses, what now?
"I should probably wake those two up and get them home." Dani smiles nodding and turns to Alexia. The smile on her face causes a lump to form in Alexia's throat. She tries to swallow it and yet it won't go down. The lump disappears when Dani looks away but Alexia still feels the charge in the air and the whispering telling her to kiss her.
"Yeah, we should probably head home too. Need any help with them lot?" She asks but Jen shakes her head laughing.
"Nah we'll be grand. Talk to you later?" She asks hopeful but not desperate Dani nods a cheesy grin on her face.
"Definitely." And that was the birth of the Four Best Friends.
