The waves rocked the boat back and forth with enough force to make it noticeable, but not enough to make it detrimental- The sounds of retching filled the air, accompanied by the smell of vomit.- not detrimental for most.
Nikolas cringed at the sound from above, trying to focus on his workings in the cabin. Erin sat next to him, keeping an eye on the many screens as well. Each of them were linked to one of the Fairchild's Com system crystals. Meaning they could see everything those crystals could see.
"Blossom, take a left, then a right after that. You'll be in the chamber, get the trout and end it," Erin said calmly into the microphone.
Nikolas's worried eyes scanned the monitors for his husband, who hadn't been answering a single message. There wasn't even the slightest shadow in the images that resembled him at all.
He bit on the insides of his lips as he tracked Kyren's location. Surprisingly, he was following Erin's orders...While screaming about religion still. The Era Rose zombie thing was still an unexplained mystery. Nick was tempted to ask Bela about it, since she's the dark magic gal, but- She was a bit busy hanging over the side of the boat spewing out ungodly noises and scents.
Nikolas watched the cam of the chamber with intent. Kyren ran into the hall-like room, down the center and up two steps. At the very end of the long room, in the wall, there was a scale encased in heavy glass. It whispered secrets with a soul-like voice.
Yet Kyren didn't seem too motivated to end the mission as the corpse slowed her run. Her heaving breaths sounded like cheese graters grating themselves through the speaker system. It made Nikolas yearn to claw his ears off of his head.
Every slow step she took produced a moist sound as her feet, reduced to bone, scraped up against the floor. Kyren stood with his back to the wall, finally wielding his sword. The blade of black and blood red radiated a dark flame, the same wispy aura that Erik sometimes did when he's doing big spells. It was a sign of unstoppable magic.
Nikolas had the feeling that if Kyren had put himself together better, he would have kind of looked hot? Nah. Kyren's scared voice entered through the speakers.
-Why the fuck is she walking like that?-
"Give it a moment. When she lunges, duck. Stay on the ground," Dixie, during some time recently, had come down the steps and taken the microphone from Erin.
-Really? I just wait until I die?-
"For a Big Seven heir, you really are a pussy," Dixie insulted out of the blue. Nick looked at her with surprise. Did she get possessed by Bela or something? Since when did that little girl grow up?
-Why do you have to be so-
The zombie corpse suddenly jumped at him, provoking a scream two octaves higher than Nikolas could even dream of going. Kyren immediately flattened to the floor, his sword blade clicking under him. Corpse Rose couldn't stop her flow of motion as she flew straight into the scale box.
The glass shattered.
Red light suddenly filled the room as the walls opened into turrets. All eyes in the bottom of the boat went wide.
