Later that night, as the group gathered around the crackling bonfire, Elisa couldn't contain her excitement. "I can't believe he did all of this for me," she gushed, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Plan an entire trip, AND propose to me in the most romantic way possible!"

Anya, seated beside Shubman, couldn't help but whisper to him, "And I can't believe he just took all the credit for this." Her glare towards Armaan was sharp enough to cut diamonds.

Shubman chuckled softly, sharing her amusement. "Not a surprise, really. He's got a bad habit of taking credit since we were kids." He, too, couldn't help but steal a glance at Armaan, who was basking in the glow of Elisa's adoration.

"He even got a customized ring, can you believe it?" Elisa exclaimed, holding out her hand to show Tiffany the sparkling jewel.

Shubman leaned closer to Anya, his voice barely a murmur. "He doesn't even know what that cut is called."

Anya rolled her eyes. "He had the audacity to tell us to act like we didn't know until this morning," she hissed, her frustration evident.

"Can we leave?" Shubman asked, his voice laced with a hint of desperation.

"Come up with an excuse," Anya replied, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Let's say we want to go for a walk, just dont look back" Shubman suggested, standing up. "Enjoy the rest of the night, guys. We'll be back soon."

Shubman and Anya strolled away from the bonfire, their laughter echoing in the night air. Once they were a safe distance away, the giggles subsided.

"I've known her since college," Anya began, her voice tinged with a hint of melancholy. "But for the last three years, I've been so busy with work, travelling the world, it just feels like I'm not the person I used to be. And so when he said he wanted help, I just wanted her to know I still cared for her just as much as before. I know it's his proposal, but I would have appreciated it if she knew I helped."

Shubman listened intently, his gaze fixed on the star-dusted sky. "I get what you mean," he said, his voice soft. "But I think he just wanted to show her that he's serious about her, although I do feel a little sad. We've been working across different time zones to make this work."

Anya nodded, a sigh escaping her lips. They walked in comfortable silence for a while, the sound of the waves lapping against the shore a soothing counterpoint to their thoughts.
