Lost in time | Ryu Sunjae x reader

It was the day of Sunjaes funeral,I'm lead through into the funeral hall across the crowd of fans outside.Upon entry,I see Sunjaes friends and family all of them sobbing uncontrollably dressed in black.

Did I have the right to be here?

Inhyuk,Sunjae and I's mutual friend from highschool as well as his group member walked up to me
"y/n...I heard you were the last person to see Sunjae..did he...look like he was struggling?"Inhyuk asks me as he sobs

Tears also began to fall from my eyes as I shook my head sideways.Inhyuk tries to compose himself wiping his tears
"You should go see him..in that room there..one last time.."Inhyuk points to a small room ahead of us

As I walked I see Sunjaes father sitting on the floor with a look of despair and grief mixed with exhaustion beside the coffin which had a picture of Sunjae surrounded with white chrysanthemums.
His dad notices me and immediately gets up looking at me as if he had seen a ghost

"Y/n..Y/n..is that you!"He gets up scanning me
"I'm sorry..I'm so sorry..If only I knew that he was going to..I would've tried to stop him.."I sobbed uncontrollably and so did he
He hugged me and patted my back "It's not your fault..please Sunjae would be angry with you for even thinking that.."

After the funeral I walked wiping my nose and eyes with tissue ,I had cried so much that I couldn't cry anymore.I was filled with so much regret,grief and anger
I hated myself for not remembering him,it was almost like my heart remembered him..but I didn't,it was a feeling I couldn't describe

"Baek Y/n..we're from the Seoul Police department..we heard you were the last person to see Ryu Sunjae alive and we'd like to ask you a few questions.."A police officer says walking up to me with his partner next to him
"Ah,this was also found on Mr Ryu Sunjaes table yesterday."He hands me the photo Sunjae took from me yesterday which was the both of us in highschool
I immediately broke down into a sob again dropping to the floor as the police officers tried to comfort me

I sat in the backseat of the police car staring out the window.I feel my pockets in search of my phone I but instead I felt the Mp3 player that Sunjae gave me,I sighed before plugging in my earphones and play it

will it comfort me like it comforted you?

Sunjaes song "sudden sunflower" then started playing I never noticed the song yesterday , the lyrics are were about someone yearning for their first love

Why would he put this on here?

I stared at the MP3 with my brow raised,the song wouldn't stop playing for some reason no matter which button I pressed

was it broken?

I gave up and drifted off to sleep with the song still playing

Once I opened my eyes I was on the floor with my head facing the sky

Wasn't I in the back of a police car?

"Taesung did you already reject her again is that why she fainted?"
"No you idiot she passed out on her own before even saying anything."
"maybe she was so scared you'd reject her again she passed out in advance so you'd feel sorry for her."
