- Alright that's it for today kids, remember to do exercises 2 and 5 from page 78! - said the English teacher at the end of the lesson. Students didn't care enough to listen to what she was saying. Everybody left the class immediately because of one simple thing - it was finally Friday. Of course, all of them would be excited.
Among all these teenagers was Felicja - a very talkative and friendly girl. But now she ignored most of the people who tried to approach her, maybe some of them wanted to ask if she wanted to hang out. She rushed to her locker, took the books she needed for the weekend, and left the other ones. Fela knew she had to be quick because she did not plan to return home that day. She had to get on the earliest bus.
Usually, the girl would first come to her mom's house to grab some things but not that day. She didn't want to see her at any cost. The atmosphere there was very sour after yesterday's fight.
Fortunately, even though she had to stop in the school's bathroom, she came just in time for the bus. Beside her there were a lot of people so it was hard to find an open seat. While searching she found a place next to a certain someone.
- Is this seat taken? - she asked an obvious question. Of course, it wouldn't be taken but Fela always thinks it's important to be well-mannered.
- Uhh... No.. - said a girl with a backpack on her lap. A girl from Fela's school whom she has been trying to befriend for a while now but knew her only by sight. Emilia, was her name?
Right.. It's been kind of her goal to become friends but it's so hard to approach that girl! It's not like Felicja wants to ask her out, considering it hadn't been that long since she broke up with her ex. She just wants to be friends.. for now..!
The reason she wants to get to know her might be kinda cliche - Emilia has a TV Girl pin on her backpack. None of her friends listen to this band so obviously it would be nice to have someone who has the same music taste as you! But it's not the only reason. Fela also thinks she's very pretty and adores her long blonde hair. From what she had deducted Emi dresses quite masc and is more of a loner.
The situation she was in was perfect for initiating a conversation with her "friend crush". Fela glanced at the girl's phone for a second and noticed she was playing a game on her phone. It looked as if she was struggling with the next step. It was a block puzzle game, the same as Felicja has on her phone. Without thinking it through she said:
- You should go this way. - and pointed at the right block. Emi took notice of it and slowly made the recommended move.
- Ohh... That was smart. - she said when 500 points appeared on the screen.
- You're pretty good - the other girl said while looking at the 5037 score record - but I'm better. - she boasted.
- Huh?? Then what's your score?
She instantly pulled out her phone and opened the game. At the top of the screen, you could see the score record: 9028 points.
- No way... You're very good. - she added while looking at her phone. Fela started laughing at her comment.. or more of a compliment?
- Haha, thanks. I like playing this kind of games.
- Me too! They're very relaxing and the time flies quick when you ride the bus.
Both of them started talking about some of their favorite mobile games untill Fela grabbed her messenger bag.
- It's my stop. I gotta go, bye! - she stated while standing up.
When she left the bus and started walking towards her dad's house - a smile appeared on her face. She was glad she finally had a chance to talk to that girl! Even though she seemed very intimidating at first - Emi turned out to be very nice.
Theoretically they already had some kind of interaction. It happened in PE class when the teacher paired them up, but they didn't exchange even a word. Fela doesn't exercise in PE class so she tends to watch the other students play. Not in a creepy way of course. It's more of a glance at them. That class and breaks are the only time she sees Emi. Sometimes she might see her on the bus but Fela doesn't commute by bus often.
Felicja was still smiling to herself when she entered her dad's small flat.
- Hello sweetheart! - the dad welcomed her - What got you smiling like that? - added when he saw a smile on her face.
- Just a great day, I guess! And it's finally friday, right? -she beamed.

- TBC.
