40 - Alter ego

Next two days..

She didn't even bother to look at him as her eyes were still red. He was in extreme anger with her talk and he knew if he talk right now they would surely pick up a fight so he stayed silent. They stayed like a house mate. She didn't talk to him. Sometimes he wanted to hug her but he didn't do it. He couldn't bare her silent treatment. He started losing his sanity. He went to night duty and did a day duty also.

It was Saturday.

Shalu didn't have class. She cooked the foods and continued to wash the puja things. After finishing it she came to hall to find him sitting with his case file. She moved out to garden and sat on the grass floor. She neither didn't like to be like this but his words were hurting her.
Arjun came to garden and sat beside her. Shalu didn't notice him as her mind was busy in thoughts. Suddenly she felt a weight on her lap. Arjun kept his head in her lap. She didn't wanted to push him away as her little mind triggers to push him but She kept her hand on his hair and started to caress it. He closed his eyes and took her other hand and kept his chest and held it tightly. He noticed her face before closing his eyes. It was devoid of emotions. Her face was slightly puffy and he noticed the redness of the eyes too.
