Nothing for this chapter! Starting off slow.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Kind of a short chapter, but I promise I'll try to get Chapter Two out ASAP. I had to write for 2 days for this so uhhh..

---------------------------------------------------------------

My eyes fluttered open, as I groggily sat up, rubbing my eyes gently with a yawn. What time was it..? Whatever..Like I care. I slowly got out of bed, walking into my bathroom, glaring at the messy countertops as if a burglar had entered..But no, it was just me. I didn't exactly clean often. I looked into the mirror, staring at my straight black-ish blue hair, it looked as if a rat had jumped up onto my head while I was sleeping and made a not-so-neat home in my hair. How annoying..

I picked up my hairbrush with a sigh, running it through the bottom half of hair to start, slowly making my way up to the roots, until a few minutes later I finally finished. I grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste, squeezing out some toothpaste from the pretty much empty tube, twisting the knob on the sink, water flowing out of the faucet like a calm waterfall, as I held the bristles under the water, quickly turning it off, and moving the brush to my teeth, and once I figured it had been two minutes (it hadn't been), I spat out the liquified paste into the sink, washing the brush, before placing it neatly back into the cup.

Once I finished getting ready and such, I walked back out to my room, picking up my phone and checking my texts.

...Fifty texts, and twelve missed calls from none other than Julia. I laughed softly, before remembering I was supposed to go visit her today at exactly 1:30 PM. It was 2:08 PM. Oops..

I walked down to the kitchen, seeing my mother, who shot a petty glare at me. Likely for waking up so late..Not my fault I had to stay up all night doing homework. I rolled my eyes at her, hoping she wouldn't notice.

"Hey, Ma," I greeted, leaning against the fridge.

"What is it, Mary Kate?" She hissed bitterly.

"Heh..Could youuuu.." I dragged out the word painfully, trying to guilt her into saying yes. "..Drive me to Julia's? Please?"

"And why would I drive an ungrateful brat to her friends for a stupid playdate, when she hasn't even been the slightest bit respectful to me this week?" Mom asked rhetorically, looking back to whatever bullshit she was cooking.

"Because you love me." I smirked.

"That means nothing, Mary Kate."

"But-"

"NO, MK." She shouted, banging her fist on the counter, to which I recoiled.

"..Jeez, fine, I'll just walk, I guess.." I mumbled.

I walked out of the kitchen, and to the front door, putting on my shoes, not even bothering to tie them- I had to get to Julia as soon as possible, I didn't wanna be any later than I already was.

I walked down the sidewalk, staring down at my feet, getting lost in thought. I wanted to hang out with Julia today..But then again, I was so..Off around her. Though, its fine. It's not her fault. Me and her are dating, after all! But sometimes-

I couldn't even finish my thought, as I found my body colliding with another, falling to the ground harshly with a grunt. I looked up at who I just bumped into.

"Hey! Watch where you're-" I stopped, taking in the sight of the blonde haired girl infront of me- it was none other than Julia.

"Oh-! Heh- Hi, Jules!" I smiled nervously, a light pink hue coating my face. How embarrassing..

"Hey, girlfriend!" She smiled back, standing up and dusting herself off, before lending me a hand, pulling me up to my feet. "Did you sleep through your alarm again..?" She teased.

"Yeahh.." I chuckled.

"Typical..Whatever- c'mon, lets go to my house already!" She smiled energetically as she tugged on my hand, dragging me down the sidewalk to her house. I didn't complain, in fact, I enjoyed the tight grip of her hand locked around mine like some sort of snake.

..I felt like the snake instead of its prey, though.

[ THIRD PERSON ]

Julia pushed the door to her house open, shoving MK inside, giggling. MK walked up to her room, taking a seat on her bed uninvited, as she sat down next to her.

"Sooo...How're you, MK?" Julia asked, twirling a strand of MK's hair around her index finger, as MK leaned her head onto her shoulder.

"I'm..Okay. Really lonely without you, though." MK groaned dramatically.

"MK..We literally hung out yesterday.." Julia giggled, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah..But you made me go home after." MK frowned.

Julia sighed. "Whatever..Anyways, wanna go shopping or something?"

"Ehh..Not today. I'd rather stay here and hang out."

"Oh- okay!" Julia smiled.

The two sat on Julia's bed for a while, talking and laughing for hours with no end, until eventually, Julia's alarm started to play on her phone, as she took a glance at it.

"Oh-..I'm supposed to go to bed now..- Uh..It was fun hanging out with you, MK! Want me to drive you home?" Julia smiled sweetly.

"Uhhh...Could I actually stay over?" MK asked nervously.

"Uh- I mean...I don't really have a bed for you, but-"

"Can't we share yours-? Nothing weird, obviously."

Julia turned a light shade of pink, confused. "I-..Uh..Sure..?" Julia sighed, putting her phone on the charger, then walking into her bathroom to get into her pajama's, MK walking out and going to the other bathroom to wind down for bed, she couldn't really change since she didn't bring extra clothes.

After a few minutes, Julia walked out of the bathroom, laying down on one side of her bed, covering herself with the blanket. She didn't know what to think of this- her and MK had cuddled before for a few minutes, sure- but they had never actually slept in the same bed. As MK said though, it'd be nothing weird after all. MK was asexual, so the most that would ever happen would be cuddling.

MK soon came out too, walking into the bedroom, and getting into bed next to Julia, facing the opposite direction of her.

The two quickly drifted off to sleep, MK falling asleep first, and then Julia, a few minutes later.
