Luke, a young man of 22 with long, curly brunette hair, sitting alone in a dimly lit bar. The atmosphere is quiet and solemn with the distant sound of clinking glasses and laughter. He has been drinking heavily and is now on his 11th or 12th glass, his eyes bloodshot and filled with tears. In front of him, lies a photograph of his ex-girlfriend, taken during a happier time when they were both smiling and holding hands. However, now it brings him nothing but pain and heartache. As he gazes at it, he sighs deeply, lost in thought and consumed by a flood of emotions, his mind replaying the happier moments of their relationship.
I mean like how could she do this to me? After everything I've done for her His beloved girlfriend had deceived him time and again by having an affair with none other than Dexter Smith, the man Luke despised the most. To add insult to injury, Dexter was present at the other end of the bar, shamelessly boasting about how he had snatched away the most stunning girl from Luke.
Dexter, along with his other minions, approached Luke and called him a derogatory nickname -
"Pukey Lukey." The nickname referred to a time in second grade when Luke had vomited on their teacher on the first day of school due to homesickness. Dexter found it amusing and laughed heartily at his cruelty.
Luke laughed sarcastically while sipping his wine, "You're still an asshole after all these years!" | Dexter, then swiftly wrapped his arm around the neck of the unruly customer. He struggled and thrashed about, but Dexter's grip was firm. The commotion caught the attention of the bartender who hurried over, rag in hand, to see what was going on. With a stern voice, the bartender yelled out, "Hey! No fighting in my bar!" as he continued to clean the wine glasses with a quick and practiced hand.
In the heat of the moment, he finally let go of Luke who didn't waste any time, and started running as fast as he could. However, the thrill of escape was short-lived as he soon realized that Dexter and his henchmen were hot on his heels. Luke's heart was pounding as he frantically searched for a way out.
An alley! They'll never find me here!
His breath became heavy and he started to feel a tightness in his chest. He quickly reached for his inhaler and took a few puffs to ease the symptoms. Just as he was starting to feel relieved, he heard a high-pitched scream coming from a distance.
"Help!"
Turning around, he saw a burly man dragging an elderly woman towards a van parked on the side of the road. An elderly woman was struggling to break free from the man's grip and was screaming for help at the top of her lungs. The man seemed determined to drag her into the van and was not paying attention to anything else around him.
"Hey!" he yelled out to the man. The man got scared and let go of the elderly woman. She collapsed on the rocky ground of the alley, while the man drove off in his van. The woman muttered under her breath, "Where did it go?" as she searched for something.
"Hey, are you ok?" He kneeled to her level.
No response.
"I found it!" She held a time locket in her hands. She handed him a locket and ran off.
"Hey! Why did you give me a locket!"
