"You okay?" Avani asked while Nessa followed her to the beach.
"I'm fine. Just tired." Nessa replied lowly.
"Go on and get in the water but please be careful. I'm gonna set up." Avani said while setting the bag on the sand.
"I'm alright I can wait." Nessa quietly replied.
Avani laid the sheet on the ground and placed heavier things on the corners, opening the umbrella and anchoring it into the sand.
"Ready?" Avani asked while taking the large shirt off and tossing it on the sheet.
"Yeah." Nessa replied.
Avani grabbed Nessa's hand gently and walked toward the water, her grip tightening on Nessa's hand as they stepped into the cold ocean.
"Ness look it's a dead fish." Avani said while grabbing a stick, kneeling down and picking the dead fish up with a stick.
"Ew Avani! Put it down! That's gross." Nessa stepped away from the older girl.
"Kiss it Nessi. Give it a big kissy kiss on the lips." Avani said, pointing the fishes face towards Nessa making her squeal.
"Get it away from me!" The younger brunette ran away from the older one, who eventually chased after her.
"Stop!" Nessa screamed, turning around in attempt to redirect Avani.
"Oh come on Nessi. He wants a kiss." Avani frowned.
"Put it down Avani that's nasty." Nessa circled Avani who was trying to touch her with the fish, occasionally jumping away from Avani when she made any sudden movements.
"Awe man." Avani finally put the fish down and hugged Nessa.
"Avani said. Avani wants a kiss." Avani said in a sad voice, her lips forming a pout.
Nessa rolled her eyes and walked into the water hoping Avani would follow her.
Nessa looked back on shore and didn't see Avani. That was until she turned around.
Avani popped out of the water, roaring at Nessa causing her to scream and curse loudly.
"You're being such a child." Nessa said softly, attempting to hold back a smile which she failed completely.
"But you love me." Avani cackled.
Avani pulled Nessa close to her and looked into her eyes, the gentle waves crashing into them causing their bodies to grow closer than before.
"I do love you." Nessa whispered, finally closing the gap between their lips.
"I thought so."
*A couple days later back at home*
"You're sick as fuck." Nessa glared at Avani.
Avani couldn't keep eye contact with Nessa as the pain and anger in her green eyes was too much for Avani to handle.
"How could you do that to me Avani?... I thought you'd keep your promise. But I guess not." A single tear trickled down Nessa's face and Avani finally looked at her.
"I didn't know it would hurt you like this Ness.. please I'm sorry. I'm trying to change I swear I am." Avani calmly spoke, her voice cracking as she held back tears.
"How didn't you know that telling people about my mental issues wasn't going to hurt me? Now Sabrina is probably telling everybody she knows that I need help. I'm not fucking crazy Avani and you know that. You're the crazy one."
"I know.. I'm sorry ness. Do you want me to leave? I can go home and call you later." The elder girl stood up and grabbed her jacket and need sucked in a deep breath.
"Stay. I'm gonna go take a bath. Maybe we can talk when I'm done."
Nessa calmly walked to the bathroom and began running the water when Avani knocked on the door.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry again. I won't speak to her again I swear." Avani said while stepping into the bathroom.
"Avani it's fine. Do you want to take a hot bath with me? It might help us relax and not fight." Nessa said while dropping the bath bomb into the tub.
"Sure ness. I'm sorry again."
