Being a foreigner, Japanese was definitely the language that weighed down your grades.
3:07 am
"Why the hell is it 'wa' and not 'ga'?!"
Your head sunk to your desk, annoyed.
Thunk
A rock struck your window.
Your favorite late night visitor had arrived.
Ting
Teru:
Fbi open up! :0
He's so cute.
You rushed downstairs and opened the door for him.
"Oh no! I swear I was framed!"
Teru laughed softly as he walked inside.
~ Your bedroom~
"What's your excuse for being up this late tonight?"
Teru asked sternly but gently. He sat on the edge of your bed.
"Eh- well... Japanese is gonna be the death of me."
"Hey, don't say things that bad about my language! Anyways, show me. I'll help you out."
The sweetest. You gave him your work and sat next to him. Honestly anything was an excuse to hear his voice. You'd even ask doubts about topics you perfected just to hear him speak.
4:00 am
"No more doubts right?"
He asked, wishing she'd have more doubts, just so he could be in her presence.
"Nope."
"Ah, so I've fulfilled my job here then."
"...Pretty much."
Teru nodded, slightly disappointed.
"So...?"
"I dunno-"
You both sat in silence. You got up to put your books back because- tidiness.
You crouched down to put them in a cabinet. As you got up your head bumped against the top of the cabinet- or did it?
You backed up before getting up.
Shit.
He was next to you. His hand had protected your head from getting hurt on the cabinet.
"You alright?"
"Mhm!"
What was he thinking being this sweet?
You sat on your bed and leaned against the headboard. He sat in front of you with his legs crossed.
What now?
You spoke up.
"Imagine you were like- a bug and-"
You were immediately cut off by Teru bursting out laughing.
"What?"
"Is this- is this how you start a conversation?"
He said in between laughs.
You rolled your eyes.
"I had to say something."
"Did that something have to be, ImAgiNe yOu wErE a BuG?"
"Shut."
He took a few breaths before calming down. He was still smiling though. That idiotic smile. The one that made you love him more.
