Kathy: Oww
Travis stands there.
Travis: Oh my god. I'm so sorry.
Kathy: No problem. I'm good.
Travis: Your nose is bleading.
Kathy: Yeah.
She goes over to the sink.
Travis: I'll get you an ice pack
Kathy stands at the sink washing down the blood. Trying to make the bleeding stop.
Andy comes back.: Oh my good. What happend.
Travis comes back: I hit her. With the door. I am so sorry. My name is Travis by the way.
Kathy: Kathy. Thanks
She puts the ice pack in her neck.
Andy: What are you doing?
Kathy: The cold on my neck should stop the bleeding.
Andy: What?
Kathy: Wait a little.
Bleeding stops.
Kathy: See.
Kathy cleens her face and her hands.
Andy: Can i take a look?
Kathy: Sure.
Andy gets Kathy to sit in the locker room.
Andy: Did the door hit your head?
Kathy: No only my nose.
Andy tests Kathys eyes and then feels her nose.
Kathy: Ahh
Andy: Yeah. Its very bruised. And theres a lot of swelling, but i don't think its broken.
Kathy: I think so, too.
Andy: How' d you know the trick with the ice pack?
Kathy: I was actually confused you don't know it. Its one of the first things i learnd at my youth firefighting club.
Andy: You've been to a youth fire fighting club. I didn't know something like that existed.
Kathy: It doesn't in Seattle. I've lived in Germany for most of my life. My mom and i moved here 3 years ago.
Andy: Oh. You English is very good.
Kathy: Thanks. But my mum has always spoken English to me. Ever since i was born. So i grew up with it.
Andy: Ah. That explains. Come on i'll show you the beanery and the kitchen.
Scene 4
The go downstairs. Kathy looks at the pictures.
Andy: These are firefighters of 19 who fell in line of duty.
Kathy: Its nice that you have this memorial.
Andy: Yeah.
Kathy: Pruit Herrera. Is that your father? Oh sorry. I often talk before i think.
Andy: No. Thats okay. Yes. He was my father.
Kathy: My father died in line of duty aswell.
Andy: He did?
Kathy: Yeah. About 3 and a half years ago. Thats why we moved to Seattle at home everything reminded us of him.
Andy: But you still want to be a firefighter.
Kathy: Yeah. He burned for this job. Well figuretivly. It was his everything. I basicly grew up at the firehouse.
Andy: I did, too.
Kathy: i joined the youth fire fighters at 10. And i loved it. Now it feels like he is still with me, when i do it.
Andy: I know that feeling.
Kathy: I wanted to go to the fire academy righ away. But they declined me. So i volunteer. They'll hopefully take me next year.
Andy: I'm sure.
Scene 5
Klaxon:Aid Car 19 to 235 Avory Road.
Andy: Kathy you're ready? Thats us.
Kathy: Yes. Lets go.
Andy Vic and Kathy get on the Aid Car.
Kathy: who are you?
Vic: Oh, we havn't met yet. I'm Vic.
Kathy: I'm Kathy. Hi.
Andy: Alright lets go.
Scene 6
There is an accident a Car hit a bikedriver. The bikedriver is very injured. He arrests and the do cpr. Get him in the aid car. Vic drives and Andy and Kathy try ti resusitate. But he is dead.
Scene 7
Andy hands the body of to grey sloan. Then she comes back. Kathy still have very bloody hands and just stares into the abys.
Andy: Tough first call.
Kathy: I... I.. i don't know...
Andy: He had no chance. We did everything, but he was already dead on scene.
Kathy nods.
Andy: its always hard. But it gets easyier from time to time.
Kathy: How often does this happen?
Andy: That someone dies?
Kathy nods
Andy: About half as often as we save people.
Kathy: so it will happen again.
Andy: Yes. Definatly but our job is it to prevent it as often as possible and accept that its not always possible.
Kathy nod.
Vic drives back.
Now i want some episodes, where Kathy just exists, nothing special. Then this.
