"So, what's being a human like for you? Do you still eat worms?" Greg asks.

"No. Thank god now." I say.

I pull my arm a little.

"Did you know the average duck eats 5 pounds? It's a rock fact." Greg holds up his rock.

"Haha. No. So tell me, why did your brother run away? What happened after the... incident?" I ask.

"Oh, you mean after I got turned into a tree?" Greg asks.

"...Yeah." I say.

"Don't know... he just got acting weirdly." Greg says.

"Weirdly? How?" I ask.

"He started muttering things and barfing up leaf looking things." Greg says.

"Really?" I could not believe it.

My eyes widen. To think that he would come back to the woods.

"Come to think about it... I have heard talk about The Beast." I say.

There have been rumors. Bad rumors. When I go to the tavern to pick up things, I hear the Tavern Keeper sing the Beast Song. I've heard folk talk about how they've heard someone muttering holding the lantern. It's really quite strange. I bite my lip.

"Hey, he has been talking about a curse in his sleep." Greg comments.

I turn to him in surprise.

"You will be cursed if you blow out the lantern." I remember The Beast saying.

"Beatrice?" Greg asks.

"We better find your brother Greg." I say.
