i can't find my wife!
We all have to wed, such is life
And I can't find my wife!
Every city, I've flipped upside down
Every country, twisted inside out
No stone of Earth unmoved
No square of space uncombed through
Flocks and flocks of lovely locks I've seen
Taken to dinners, dancing parties
But none make it to matrimony
Shattered, weary, I come back home
My parents came back to the ancestors
The house's getting scarily bigger, its mouth a black hole
Whispering bitter nothings, then swallows me whole
The sky's in turmoil, you're stable as the wind
The land's a tumor, you're rotting for your sins
Suddenly I see her sweeping
My yard like it's her own
"Who are you?" I scream, she
Screams back "Welcome home"
As the maid, my late parents hired her
Now they can't fire her, she says
While we sweep together, hours flies
While we sketch together, days dissolve into nights
"Can you give me a tattoo?" she asked
Of half a heart, of her longing for the other half
The moonlight drapes on us, one shadow cast
My tip brushing on her skin
Wishing this moment ever lasts
Once tumor, the land's now flourish
Once turmoil, the sky's now serene
Crowned by sunbeams
Of golden hour, she's the Queen
Something in me clicks
Her cruel shackles, I need to break
Like other lovely locks, her fit is wrong
But she makes me strong
To leave behind what lies between us
Even if it's mine, and it hurts
Now I'm half the key I used to be
But twice happier than I'll ever be
We all have to wed, such is life
Thank heavens I find my wife!
