- 1. edmund is certainly not dad of the year 2. he stopped having kids after della because he was so pissed off abt having a girl 3. funniest part is, he's not even the reason the leatherwoods are so successful - his brother is 4. now, he holds his children to an impossible standard 5. the entire time nick, amadeus and della were at the academy they were ALWAYS the best because they weren't allowed to be anything else 6. so imagine how pissed he is that his kids literally refuse to be in the society 7. and how much more he's pissed that his wife created a rival society and didn't even tell him 8. he fakes his death when his kids are teenagers to escape the war 9. these kids were psychologically tortured for years (seriously he would isolate them for weeks if they stepped out of line) 10. forced della to have otto to carry a bloodline (he had no faith in amadeus and nick married a mortal) 11. fuming when the lestherwoods become disgraced -
