"She's out campaigning with her family today. Maybe if you listened to her for once, you'd know that." You heard Dipper say on the TV as you started to wake up.
You yawned, stretching before grabbing your phone to check the time. After being momentarily blinded by the bright screen you got the time. "12:14 already?" You thought sitting up.
Looking over towards the TV a pair of cartoonish legs on your bed caught your attention. Before you freaked out, you remembered earlier that night.
"So it wasn't a dream.. dear god" you leaned forward, laying on your stomach. You peered over the edge of your bed to see bill barely an inch away from the ground.
Moving back a bit you looked back to his foot. You poked it, getting his attention. He sat up, staring at you. "What?" He asked, "whatcha doin'?"
"Watching the show." You sat up, looking back to the TV. "So how are you taking the information that you're in a different dimension?" You yawned half way through the question.
Bill looked back at the TV and shrugged. "It has its ups and downs. I mean I can still put my plans into motion, and I don't have to worry about being stuck in Gravity Falls." You nodded, showing that you're listening. "Him trying to take over the world could be a problem. wait why hasn't he tried to take over yet?" You questioned him in your head.
"Because my powers aren't strong enough yet. I was stuck in stone for who knows how long."
"Oh shit he can still read minds?! that could also be a future problem" "I can still hear what your thinking sweet-tooth" You looked up at him with a questioning look. "Sweet-tooth?"
"Yeah, cause you have a sweet-tooth."
"How do you know that?"
"I did a bit of browsing while you were asleep"
"You WHAT?!
Bill chuckled, finding your reaction funny. "Relax, I didn't go to deep into your memories." Like that would ease your panic. You didn't want Bill going through your memories, there was things you didn't want him to know.
"How much did you see?" Bill seemed a bit confused by your quick change in emotion.
"Not much, it was just the basics, like your favorite colour, food. Things like people in your family and close friends, your true feelings on em." You weren't very happy about him going through the people in your social circle. "Please don't do that again without my permission, I already don't like that you're able to read my mind."
"Whatever" He rolled his eye looking back to the show. You sighed before grabbing your headphones and phone. You're too awake too fall back asleep, so you might as well get caught up in the infinite scroll.
You put on you headphones, leaving one ear out so you could hear Bill if he started talking to you, then opened TikTok.
2 hours later and Bill's on episode "Carpet Diem" Aka episode 16, 3 more episodes till Bills first appearance on screen (except for the beginnings of the episodes). You're curious how Bill will react when he sees himself on screen.
You got bored of scrolling through TikTok around 30 minutes ago so you started watching the show with Bill.
"Hey, wanna see something?" You asked catching Bill's attention. "As long as its entertaining." "Trust me, I think you'll find it entertaining enough." You got up from your bed and walked over to your bookshelf. Bill rolled his eye thinking you're grabbing some normal boring book, but his interest was piqued when you came back with two burgundy coloured books.
You sat down beside him, placing the books in front of him. "Where'd you get these? and why is there two?" He asked flipping through one at a time. "Alex made and sold copies of the journal. only journal 3 though. And there's too cause one is the special edition." (i wish i had the special edition irl).
"Special edition?" He looked up at you confused. "Yeah" you reached for a blacklight on your nightstand.
"The special edition has all of the content of the regular edition, plus all the secret black light pages, a magnifying glass, a tassel bookmark, and removable photos and notes. The limited edition Journal also includes a signed note from Alex and a co-writer of journal 3. while the regular edition just has the normal pages."
Bill looked between the two books. "Why didn't they just make one? why make both?" He asked looking back at you.
"Well at first they didn't have the budget for all the extra stuff the special edition has. But once the show blew up and started making a whole bunch of money Disney told Alex he could make it. There's only 10,000 copies though. you can buy a copy on eBay but they sell for thousands."
"oh, how come you have both?"
"Why not?"
"Well you humans seem to cherish your money so why buy both?"
"We have the money to buy both things we need and want. Besides i got the regular edition first and really wanted the special edition. Took forever to get the money for it." You explained, Bill seemed to, at least mostly, understand. You handed him the black light, letting him use it on the special edition.
He seemed a bit surprised how much it was like the one in the show. like everything was nearly spot on. "You humans are interesting."
