Hinny In And After Hogwarts

Chapter 2

There's a time skip to the Christmas Day.
Everyone's busy in their dormitory getting ready for the ball. So is Ginny. So is Harry. So is Ron. So is Hermione.
Place: Third Year Girls Dormitory, Gryffindor Tower.

Ginny's POV:-
Oh! I am so stupid. Harry asked me out about three days ago. I haven't yet found out a perfect dress for me. Hermione was right! Instead of getting excited and reliving everything, I should've prepared things for the best part. But no! I didn't. If I had thought of it, I could've magicked out these mismatched satin strips from the robes.
This looks really garish. I think mum's one are really good or well, better. Of course it is, she wore it when dad took her to a dance after their wedding. I should wear this. But for me it is oversized. Maybe Hermione can fix the size. Surely fixing the size will take less time than to fix meters of strips of thick satin. I should leave. Probably Reducio will do but Hermione's is always more better and trusted with these.
Ginny took her mother's robe and left the dorm for the upper floor.

'Harryyy! I look like..wait,Harry!I smell like my great aunt Tessie!',Ron exclaimed.
'You are looking er-fine Ron!'
'I ain't.' said Ron making a screwed up face.
'Why is it always me!!' Neville said from behind. The straps of his robes had got attached messily with the collar and Neville's attempts to open it were unsuccessful.
'Who are you going with Neville, to the ball?' Harry asked.
'Luna Lovegood. A third year Ravenclaw. Spotted her near the greenhouses quite often..you know!',Neville said.
'Oh. I don't know her. But isn't Reparo working?'
'No.'
'I know! What about Offero !', Seamus said with enthusiasm.
The straps made a movement and returned to their previous state. His four years magical education did work but in a messy way because the robes didn't look quite usual.
'Thank you Seamus. Sure thing then, Reparo !'
It went normal and ordinary.

'Done! That looks really cute on you Ginny! I bet galleons Harry won't take his eyes off you.',Hermione said as her usually bushy hair lay straight and calm on her shoulders. A pink robe lay beside her along with two green flasks.
'Well, you'll loose then Hermione. Cause Harry's... interested in Cho at this moment!', she sighed and gave a little smile.
'Believe me, you are looking really pretty on Mrs.Weasley's robes.'
'Yea, this dress of mum's is better and prettier than that gaudy gown thingy!'
'Hmm! You better get ready. I think the boys already are!We have only half an hour left!'
Hermione applied her Sleekeazy Hair Potion once more and started to comb them. Ginny changed into her mother's robes which looked as if it were hers and was perfectly fitting her. She took another comb and started combing. With a lazy flick of wand both of them tied their hairs and later in a Muggle Way fixed them carefully for betterment.

In the fourth year boys dorm, everyone was already prepared and ready. Ron had removed the laces from his dress and had also applied a Muggle Perfume borrowed from Dean. Harry tried to tame his hair. But he didn't have a Sleekeazy Hair Potion and failed to do so ending up ruffling his hair fully in irritation. Seamus had borrowed a long boot from his Muggle father and he was showing it off and how his height would perfectly match Lavender's.

Harry's mind wondered whom Cho was going with but he shook it off trying to concentrate on Ginny, his partner for today. Will Ginny embellish herself? He had always known her as a bold, savage girl. Sometimes Harry thought that often Ginny acted more like boys. Having six brothers in the family, it wasn't that strange. His thoughts were broken into by-
'Why are we in here chatting? Shouldn't we go down? Lunch was like..ages ago! I am hungry!', Ron was saying.
'Not the feast..But yes we should!',Dean said.
'I hope Merlin will support me today!' Neville exclaimed and sighed.
'I seriously got the best girl of the year',Dean muttered as he got up.
The five boys went out off the dorm into the common room. The common room was empty. It was difficult to understand whether the girls were inside their dorm or had gone down already.
Ron muttered into Harry's ear,'Who do you reckon asked Hermione out?'
'No thoughts!We'll see if it's a champion or else find out.',Harry replied rolling his eyes.

The Entrance Hall was so full of people. Ron and Harry stayed with eachother. The other three of them went to different ways. Hogwarts,Beauxbatons
and Durmstrang students were all gathered together and chatting unitedly with eachother. Harry saw Ron's face go red when Fleur arrived with Roger Davies. He was probably still embarrassed of the situation he got himself to, Harry thought. After about fifteen minutes, people with their partners proceeded to the Great Hall.

Parvati suddenly came out of the crowd with Dean and her sister,'Ron! Padma tried to find you in the thick but we couldn't..Dean came and then said you were near here!'
Padma said,'Hi! Let's go then!'. She was wearing a light blue gown, sleeves embroidered with brown sparkles. Her hair was tied into two braids just like her sister.
Ron turned around, muttered in Harry's ear quite loudly, 'No sign of Hermione or Ginny then. Ok I am off then!'
The four of them left.
Harry climbed two steps of the stairs to the Entrance Hall and sat down,his face in his hands.
Suddenly he heard murmurs between the nearby girls who were gathered together, 'Wow!','She looks beautiful!','Thats very pretty!'.
Harry turned around and saw that Ginny Weasley had arrived at the staircases.

Ginny's Robe/Dress

She was looking really pretty. The little girls' murmurs weren't wrong. Ginny looked like Ginny, but different from her daily self. She descended down the stairs as Harry stood up still smiling to himself.
'Let's go then!',Ginny said to Harry smiling.
