Chapter 09: Her Spiritual Guardian

As if everything was made for elegance and good impression. Tama nga siya, this place was really a copy of the traditional Japanese home setting. Plus, they don't use the usual torch made of torch. On close look, they were fireflies. How cool was that?

If I had known he had this place to him before, I should've befriended him before I died. This is something I, as a royalty should firsthand exclusively experience.

“Come, join me for breakfast.” Alok nito bago umupo sa cushion sa sahig.

There was a table between us and a set of  dishes I never had in my previous life.

“What do you call this food?” It has a fermented taste but a little bit crunchy. “Ooh, that's strong.”

“Woah. You keep on surprising me.”

He looks flustered. “I figured out, I should leave a good impression that lasts to someone as good as you.” Inabot niya ang pamunas sa akin.

I gently patted the soft clothe around my lips.

“Well, I think you're already halfway there.” Ayaw kong umamin sa kahit anuman. If there was one thing that remained of what I am in the past and who I am now, is my pride. Masyadong mataas.

“You should see our open bathhouse. It's really nice.” Anyaya nito.

“I don't feel like going with food in my stomach.

“It's fine. I'll be there to wake you up. But, I don't think you'll be comfortable.”

“Why would I be?” Mabilis kong tugon.

“It's a mixed-gender bathhouse. Our guesthouse is famous for THAT one thing.”

I raised my brows when he paused. “What's THAT one thing?” He didn't reply but I can see how he's hesitating to tell me. “Oh, whatever it is, I don't think I'll hate it. So let it be.”

He just shrugged. Nakakalito siya kausap. Nakakasagad ng braincells at pasensiya.

After our breakfast, we went to their bathhouse up on the hill. I told you they own a freaking village. Haven't I mentiond that?

"We're here.” Dito maghuhubad. It's common for people to do so. It's part of their culture. I don't even hate it. I love this kin d if experience. And under this grayish sky and fogs.

“If you feel uncomfortable, just tell me.”

“I don't mind. Kahit maghubad ka pa sa harap ko. I just know you're not my type.”

I heard the sliding door slammed close. I smirked. I thought he would watch me. He's even more cute than a dog.

“I-I will just follow.”

I don't want to provoke anyone intentionally.

“Mamaya.” Wika niya saka narinig kong umalis.
