It wasn't supposed to happen like that

Hey there, just so you know, I am not the writer of this story, my friend is, and I'm just translating her story in english so more people will be able to read it. She is, at this time, working on the following chapters so I will try to post them as soon as possible. By the way, we are french so if you speak french and you want to read this story in french, she will post the story on her own account (which is in the story's description) in our language. I'll let you know when. You might also be aware that some of the caracters's name are french. Please excuse me if my grammar is not perfect, as I said, it is not my first language and I'm not fluent in it but I will try my best to be as accurate as possible, thank you.Also, it's her first story and I'm just translating so please don't be mean. As said, here's the story.

In Bonneville, it's winter, we are December 15th and our friends group is gathering in highschool for the winter bal.
Ivy and Haïna, two best friends, arrived to the bal in the same nice turquoise gown. Ivy is accompanied by Pablo, her boyfriend and Haïna by Yoni, her closest friend.

The bal is going perfectly, the group is having fun but the night is not going to finish the same way.

One girl in their class has disapered, Azalia.

Everybody started to panick and shouted her name in all the school and around but there was no answer.

Ivy, very anxious, started to have a panic attack. Her boyfriend tried to calm her down and said:

"Come with me and try to breath at the same time as me.

-Thanks a lot, it helps. But I'm wondering how could she disappear, it's not normal."

Anaïs came from behind, which suprised Ivy, and said:

 "This girl is so nice, she doesn't bother anyone. Why would anyone want to hurt her?!"

Ivy didn't know what to say because she wasn't close with Azalia but she enjoys talking to her from time to time.

They decided to call the police who arrived in 17 minutes. During this time, everyone was looking for her everywhere but it leaded nowhere except a little noise coming from the forest near the school, but no one paid attention to it.

The officer Kamran, as soon as he arrived, went to see some people from the party to question them then we went to see the group. Ivy, Pablo, Haïna, Yoni et Anaïs, all were questioned to know the course of the evening. After the police left, Azalia's gone missing then everyone went back home. The night was short. No one could sleep after what happened so they decided to meet at Anaïs's et this time, with the missing members of the group who weren't at the bal: Aylé, one of the geniuses of the group with Anaïs, Aëlys, Stella's best friend, a super nice girl with a strong character and Stella, a new girl in the school, very pretty and popular. But at soon  at Anaïs's, they noticed that Stella's missing, which is strange since they all live in the same neighborhood.

"Did she warned you that she couldn't come?", asked Ivy.

Aëlys, who was closest to Stella, said:

"No, but it's okay. This morning, she didn't looked very well so maybe she's just resting.

-Yes you must be right", said Ivy.

Pablo, to appease everyone, said:

"Why not play Truth or Dare? It's been a while since we last played."

Aylé answered:

"Yeah, that's a great idea. It's 3.00am and we got nothing to do anyway."

Everyone agreed.

The night continued, everyone laughed then fell asleep. The following day, they all came back to school without knowing that their day will be endless. It was around 10.00am and they were in gym class, playing volleyball, which is Ivy and Pablo's favorite sport, they both play in their school team. The class continued when suddenly, they saw from afar some police cars parked in front of the schoo which concerned them, so they decided to get out of the class to go see what was happenning on the pretext that they had to go see the chied education adviser. As they went to see outside, they succeeded to hear a part of the conversation between the principal and the officer Kamran at the particular moment when the officer Kamran said to the principal:

"We suspect that the disparition of the little girl was a murder so I'll keep you posted when we'll have more informations."

The teenagers, facing the news, were speechless.

"Who could've killed her?, said Pablo,thinking.

-I don't know anyone who would hold it against her, said Ivy.

-Wait, did anyone see Stella today?", asked Aëlys.

At that time, everyone was looking at each other because it wasn't usual for her to skip class with telling anyone. Anaïs answered:

"Actually, I didn't see her but she must have a good reason not to come, don't worry."

With these words, Anaïs reassured Aëlys.

They parted ways to go home but they all had the same question in mind: "What happended last night?"

Maybe there is an explanation for these teenagers but unfortunately, they won't have the asnwer so soon and it might affect them proffondly or even terrify them but their links will be stronger that the events that await them.

Will they succeed to overcome these trials of life? That is the question.
