My father was a genuine man,
willing to help whenever,
and was
articulate with the flooring
he did,
he was particular
in his angles, every cut was precise
he was clever
and wise and would tell me,
"Dictate your actions,
dont let people dictate yours"
he also taught me to explore
what it was the God blessed me with,
and the exploration I set out on
was already written,
a given, yea
but yet kept me in the existence
of persistence, God is the gift
that keeps on giving,
teaching me it was the reception of giving
that keeps you living

being around wise men made me
see things in ways most people would deny,
but it gave me access to the realms
of the spirit that I always wanted to see,
my sight was refined,
and over time the fog began to leave
my spiritual premises,
I know now that's the evidence
of the God in me,
clearly navigating these roads
that some may call uncharted territory
but I call
my portion,
it's for me
to make movements towards what it is
that is already mine,
it's like telling the sun not to shine,
or telling me not to rhyme,
or telling a nickel to be dime,
or telling my wife not to be that fine,
or telling time to turn back time,
when we are living
in the infinite,
infinite, the
mastermind of God
