I seen it as motion,
aint nothing was slow
it wasn't like I aint been here before
life is about knowing when to take risks
but it still invovles risks,
that's what separates the great
from the good,
it already exists,
what it is
that you want to achieve,
it's about controlling what you can
control, and understanding your needs
is what breeds success,
the lusts of life breathes death.
and that means
you ain't breathing,
you ever been down so bad,
you thought pain was never leaving?
but realized you was only
deceiving yourself,
life hit harder than my father's belt,
but both taught me respect
and discipline,
shaping me into a man more magnificent
than the long nights that shaped
the magnificent man,
ain't nothing was handed to my hand,
I just wanted to learn and fell in love
with the plan

Executing what is was that God gave me
through visions made life clear,
crystal to be exact,
I put on my boots and got real close
with the map,
because I had the strap of knowing
that if I knew I grew,
my crew could be changed and twisted
like a corkscrew opening up doors
for what my family never seen
I used to tell Milly I was addicted to improving,
a pure feen
that seen scenes before they happened,
I kept my mouth close and thats exactly what happened,
closed mouth,
not fed,
but not dead,
opened my spirit to wisdom,
enough was said,
to fill my soul with the living bread,
getting ahead came from simply
working with what I had,
they say get what you get
and don't get upset,
so what I seen as bad
was what I had to work with,
I had unsharpened tools
and that was my tool kit,
so I became a mechanic
of my own vessel,
refining and tuning,
and my tools became sharp,
I spent hours in the library
and learned how to learn
to be smart,
my tools was my talents,
and nobody was going
do the work for me,
only I could start
