                         ELECTRICITY

Electricity - It is the flow of charges.

Charge - When two bodies are rubbed together they get a tendency which attracts things.
For example - when a glass rod is rubbed to a silk cloth, the silk cloth gets negative charge and the rod gets positive charge so when we put the rod near some paper bits it attracts them towards it.

Electrostatic charge - The study of charged particles at rest.

Electrodynamic charge - The study of charged particles in motion.

Properties of charge →

i. Charge can be positive, negative or zero.
ii. Charge has materialistic property i.e. charge cannot exist without a material.
iii. Metals are best conductors for charge to flow.
iv. Charge is conserved. It can neither be destroyed nor be made.
v. Charge flows from negative to positive side.
vi. It's unit is Coulomb Or C.
vii. It flows in discontinued form.
