Chapter 15 zindagi ,hairan hun main

Taiji and Bela had come to Visit Rakesh and Naina. They talked about Rakesh trip to Delhi and his plans.

Bela : Bhagwan jhut na bulwaye , Naina ab tumhe bhi khud ke liye kuch sochna chahiye.

Naina was fed up of such talks and gave an impossible look.

Rakesh : Tumhi puch lo Bela , mujhe toh batayegi nahi , agar isey koi pasand ho toh bata de, ladka acha hoga toh sochne me kya burayi hai.

Taiji : O bai....mujhe toh woh tera dost pasand aaya tha.....kya naam tha uska.

Naina got shocked assuming it to be Sameer.

Naina (shockingly ) : kaun....?

Taiji : arey wahi jo baat baat pe uchal raha tha, arey wo jo bank me kaam karta tha.

Naina popped out her eyes : Pundiiiit ?
Ho hi nahi sakta hai.

Taiji (dissapointedly ): Munna ne bhi yahi kaha tha , ki wo tujhe behen manta hai. Warna toh teri jodi uske sath khub jamti .

Naina took a breath of relief.

Bela : arey bhabhiji , ye ek baar haan kahe toh bahut mil jayenge. Kami kya hai ,aur acha kamati bhi hai.

Rakesh : kamau ladki ke liye toh aur jyada dahej mangte hai.

Taiji :  waise Pundit ke sath jo ek aur aaya tha ,wo bhi bura nahi tha....par Maheshwari khandan ka tha ,hum jaise  logon me kahan shadi karega.

Naina fiddled with her dupatta and served evening tea and snacks to them ,smiling sarcastically on the turn of the events.

Taiji : waise Bela , main ek baat soch rahi thi. Pata nahi Anand babu ki kya soch hogi , par mann me ek baat aayi hai.

Naina in mind : baap re , ab kya baat aayi hogi.....waise bhi inke mann me khatarnak batein hi aati hai.

Rakesh : ab mann me aa hi gayi hai toh bol dijiye.

Taiji : Main soch rahi thi ki wo bank wala ladka ...kya naam tha...haan pundit....wo toh Naina ko behen manta hai , Preeti ko toh nahi na. Kyun na Preeti ki baat usse chalayi jaye.

Bela (shockingly ) : Peeti ki ?

Naina : Taiji , aapne Preeti se janne ki koshish ki hai ki wo dobara shadi karna bhi chahegi ya nahi.

Taiji : jyada dimag mat laga. Dono ne itna padh liya hai ki buddhi hi khatm ho gayi hai.....arey usne socha tha kya ki uske sath itnakuch ho jayega. Nahi na....phir kya burayi hai agar uska ghar phir se bas jaye.

Bela : Par agar usey bura laga toh. Itni muskil se toh usne khud ko sambhala hai.

Taiji : koshish karne me kya burayi hai. Kya tum nahi chahti ki uski zindagi phir se sawar jayein. Aur phir koi aulad  bhi nahi hai. Dikkat bhi nahi honi chahiye. Tum ek baar Anand babu se toh baat karo , ladke aur uske pariwar ko main pata lungi.

Rakesh : acha hai....is umar me ab ladke bhi pata rahi hai aap.

Taiji : O bai...aapki hi bacchiyon ke barey me soch rahi hun....warna apne zamane me mujhe patane ki zarurat nahi thi. Khud hi chal ke aaye the aapke  bhai sahab.

Rakesh chukled : Bhai sahab nahi ,apko pitaji ne pasand kiya tha unke liye.

The two had a little banter ,and Bela as usual enjoyed that , but Naina 's mind was busy in some other thoughts.

That night When Naina's phone rang ,she could understand that it was Sameer. But what she always hid was that ,now this ring did affect her heart beat. Initially her anger overpowered her emotions and all she felt at the ring was pain. But continuous effort by Sameer did make her heart skip a beat. It would be wrong to say that she didnt wait for the call , but this time she was not expectant either.
