Chapter - 10

School ends, I have no other choice but to
let dad beat me up,I went home and open the door slowly,all my family was present.

I saw father glaring at me,"I'm home" I bowed,he throse a cup at my head and I fell
to the floor,all my sisters and mother left me there as father took the golf stick and pull me towards the room.

"Ahhh,I'm sorry father"I screamed,just then the doorbell ringed,my mother opened the
door as father hurried me to upstairs.

"Hello,Mrs Kim" I heard a girl say,"Oh hi
Sooha,please come in.What makes u come
come here?" My mother greeted."Ah Dayeon invited me for dinner but I can't seem to find her after school,I thought she
may be thinking that I said no so I came to clear things up"I said her with a smile.

"Oh, that's really nice of our Dayeon" My mother said,Dad looked at me with wide eyes,he quickly pulled me up,"Forget what happened,come down soon"he make his tie and run downstairs.

What is this?The one I consider more of a friend-like leave me to be beaten up while
the one I resent and consider as an enemy
safe me,without me asking.Have I really
mistook Sooha?

I put all thoughts aside and walked downstairs for dinner, "Oh,Hey Dayeon"
Sooha waved at me with a smile,I waved back and smile awkwardly."The dinner is ready,father" my sister said.

"Oh,why don't we go have a dinner?You must be really hungry Sooha,come this way "Dad says as he tried to escort Sooha,"You guys so first,Mr Kim.I will walk with DayeonI have something I want to tell her." She said.

"Oh,okay then" Father said and leave,when
he passed by me,"Don't mess this up" he whispered to me as I nodded nervously.
After everyone went to the dining room Sooha runs to me.

"Kim Dayeon,Are you okay?Was I late?" She asked concerned,I was shocked,no one
really ever show love or concern to me before.

Before I said anything she speaks again,"He
throws a cup at you?Aish!I'm so sorry you have to be with him" she said,"I don't need sympathy from you"I said to her.She stared at me.

"Let's go for for dinner, we'll talk later." I said and we went for dinner."So Sooha,
Are you planning on going college?If you are, and if you don't mind,why don't Dayeon go with you?I think It'll be a great thingfor you two to be with each other as much as possible,like,for ur friendship"Dad said."That would be really nice,but we already bonded a lot.Besides,I wasn't planning on going to college,I was planning on focusing on my modelling career."she
said.

"Oh,you'll make a great model,you are a really beautiful girl"Dad smiled,"It's good
to hear the you and Dayeon are doing great
as friends" he said,Sooha laughed,"thank you for the compliment"she said.

"So Sooha,you are aware about the school
committee and all right?" Dad asked,"Oh yeah that.I'm aware"she answered,"I was wondering if you would talk to Uncle and Grandma about me,you know,like-"I will"
she cut him off,wish I could do that."Really?Thank you so much Sooha,that would meant a lot to our family"Dad was smiling
,"I would love to be of any help"Sooha said.

After dinner,Sooha stayed for a while,Dad told me to take her to my room and talk to her more.When we went to my room she quickly closed the door,"For the youngest daughter,you have really small room"she looked around,"I'm not a daddy's little perfect princess like you."I said sarcastically

But to be honest ,I'm jealous of her, that's the main reason I don't get close to her,cuz she got all the love from her friends and family,while I don't get any from anyone.

We talked for a while, and I figured that she was a really nice girl,Harin and her have the same status or she may look even more evil but she is the opposite.For the first time,It
felt like I was being cared for.

"It's late,I'll get going,see you at school" she said,I felt nervous,when she gets home what will dad do to me.I got worried, and I think she noticed that,"Kim Dayeon,would you like to stay at my place?" She asked,
"What?"I got confused.

"We have a lot of spare room,they are just guest rooms but they all may be bigger than...this room"she said,oh there it is,her
bad trait finally shows up."No."I bluntly replied.

"Okay,at least walk me out the door or your
father will scold you for being IMPOLITE."
she said emphasizing one word.I sighed and walked her out of the door.

"See you at school."I said to her as she gets in the car,"Bye" she said and waved,"Bye" I
wved back as she drove off.

I got in the house,"Why don't you say you invited Sooha at the beginning?We almost messed up" Dad yelled,"I'm sorry"I bowed.
"Go to your room"he sighed."Pardon?" I got
confused."I said go to your room" he said again and I went up.

Maybe after today's event,I might switch sides,Sooha is a lot nicer than Harin and I
kinda prefer to stuck with her forever than Harin.But In the past she was not this nice,
what have changed?Is she just acting?

I don't know anymore,just go to bed.

Sooha's POV

After I ate dinner at Dayeon's, I talked with her in her room for a while,her room was so small,maybe even smaller than my bedroo
m toilet.This is how her father treated her?

Later she sent me off,"See you at school" she said,"Bye!" I waved and smile at her,
"Bye" she waved back and I can see her smile a bit,then we drove off.

Things are going according to plan,Dayeon
is starting to melt,I just felt it,DoAh will just switch her side to whoever is in a better
condition,cause her father would say so.

I just need Kim Dayeon to be sided with me,
then Sung Sooji will destroy Baek Harin at school.Then I will win, It's that simple.

I wonder what Harin's next act would be, she is using Joo Seungyi to know Sooji's plan,making JiAe betray them.But will she succeed?We'll see.

I went inside the house to find my family all
present at the living room,"I'm home" I smiled,"Why do you Go to that evil house?"
Mom hugged me,"Don't worry,they treat me good" I said,"But I miss aunt's cooking
"I pouted as aunt hugged me.

Madam Jung,or who me and my brothers simply called Aunt has been our housemaid
even before eldest brother was born,she is like a second mom to us.

"I'm so tired, I wanna sleep" I said,"Okay, we'll talk next time has a good night sweetie" Mom said as she kissed my forehead,"Mom?....Will you sing me a lullaby?Please?" I begged, "Sure" she replied and we went to my bedroom.

DoAh's POV

At SeoSim Hospital ~~~

"So?Was Dayeon's dad upset?"I asked my father,"It's not a mere school commitee
,it provides a connection with Baekyeon Group.Mr.Kim know that, that's why he's
fuming mad about losing his position...but
luckily for Dayeon,Sooha showed up before
her father beat her.She said she would talk with her Grandmother and Uncle."He said.

Hong Sooha?The Hong Sooha I know never
like to meddle with these things, she just
focus on their family and herself,she would never do anything the didn't benefit her.
Why would she help Dayeon and her father
?What game is she playing?

"How's school?" Dad asked,"Ever since a girl name Sung Sooji transferred, things have changed" I answered,"Dr Yang's daughter is in your class too,right?Do you know the difference between me and Dr.Yang?"He asked,I just looked at him.

"He doesn't have a family business to hand over to his child, whereas I can have you run over this hospital.The bourgeoisie,just because you live in the same castle,it doesn't mean you all are from noble families.You must differentiate between the two,Harin and Sooha are the ones you need to pay attention to."He looked at Dr.Yang."Don't worry"I reassured him.

Back to Sooha,what is she planning?Is she
planning to ruin Harin?That won't be easy.
The two had always been fighting to one up each other.Now that Sung Sooji who dare to challenge Harin showed up,is she going to really act up?But exposing and ruining Harin would mean she would have to put her reputation,power and position at risk.
Did she knows another way, or is she risking it all?
