"WHAT?!" He scream/gasps

"You're not just going to hand it to me like nothing happened." You shot back stubbornly.

"Huh...?" He asks.

"Get on on knee and do the whole party. Can't end a new years party at 10;00." You say waving your finger in the air. He sighs but gets on one knee.

"Aleck...will you marry me?" He asks

"And....?" You aks rolling your eyes.

"I messed up...I know that. I missed not seeing your smile. Your blue eyes and holding your hands....."

You nod.

"Okay. I will!" You say snatching the ring and sliding it on your finger. He laughs and picks me up by my waist and kisses me.

"Promise me..." You say putting your hand to his cheek.

"Promise me... that wont happen again."

"I promise." He says, kissing me one more time.

I smile the biggest smile I think I ever had smiled before
