I know, deep down inside,
I will never be like them.
Never be one of them,
no matter how hard I try.
They will never see me as I am,
I will never fit into their neat little box,
the category they assigned for me.
So I won't try. I refuse to be boxed in.
I don't need a category to define me,
I will define myself.
Break down these absurd barriers,
the social norms that govern our lives.
Screw these insane unwritten rules,
they don't matter, not to me.
They shouldn't to you either.
Break down society. Resist.
