"Are they together yet or what?" Clint asks and everyone shares a laugh as they watch Wanda walk after Y/N.
"Hey, you did great today." Wanda says shutting Y/N's door behind her.
"Well, considering I saved everyone's ass." Y/N shrugs while smiling.
Wanda also scoffs, "That, was very hot by the way." She says in a quiet tone.
Y/N tilts her head and starts walking towards Wanda. "Oh really?" Wanda keeps backing up until the back of her knees hit the edge of the bed. Y/N quickly flashes her purple eyes, making Wanda fall backward. Y/N and Wanda both laugh before Wanda grabs Y/N's hand, pulling her on top of her. They stare into each other's eyes for a while before Wanda makes the first move, lifting her head to catch Y/N's lips with her own. They get lost in each other's touch before Y/N pulls away, this time her eyes glowing purple on accident. "I think we should get some sleep." Y/N says closing her eyes to take a breath.
Wanda looks up worriedly, "Did I..."
"No," Y/N cuts her off, opening her eyes once again. "You didn't do anything wrong. Everything is perfect." She says before giving her another quick kiss and retreating to the bathroom to change. She emerges a few minutes later to find Wanda still on her bed. "Stay." Y/N says drawing Wanda from her thoughts. "I mean, if you want. Stay the night."
"Are you sure?" Wanda stands, stepping towards Y/N.
"I want you to stay." Y/N responds taking Wanda's hand. After Wanda gets changed, they both lay in Y/N's bed. Fully content in each other's arms.
"What are you smiling at?" Wanda asks while returning the smile.
"I could ask you the same thing." Y/N retorts, only making both their smiles grow. "I haven't smiles this much in a long time."
"And I don't remember the last time I was this happy." Wanda says kissing Y/N's forehead.
"Alright, enough mush." Y/N says pushing Wanda's arm away before snuggling back into her. "Let's get some sleep."
"Why Y/N? Why did you do this to me? You could have stopped it. I had so much more life to live. You did this to me, you killed me!"
"Y/N! Wake up. It's okay, It's just a dream." Wanda says trying to coax her girlfriend awake. "I... I didn't mean to. No. Stop." Y/N jolts awake, Wanda by her side trying to calm her down.
"Y/N, relax. It was just a nightmare. It's okay."
"No, it's not. It's my fault she's dead." Y/N says with tears in her eyes. By this comment, Wanda figures out that the dream was about Y/N's late girlfriend.
"It's okay Y/N, it's going to be okay."
"You don't know that." Y/N says with a shaky voice.
"I do, I've been through this before."
"But you don't know! You don't know what it feels like to have a part of you ripped away by something you could have stopped!" Y/N yells breathing heavily. She stands from the bed to put distance between her and Wanda. After she gets a few feet away, realization seeps in. She turns her head to see a hurt look on Wanda's face. "I'm sorry, that was, I'm sorry." Is all she says before running out the door, putting some much-needed distance between her and the Avengers compound.
Half an hour passes before Y/N calms herself down and returns to her room. There, she finds Wanda still sitting on her bed, staring blankly at the wall. "Wanda?" Y/N asks cautiously. The only response she gets is a quick, sad glance before Wanda's gaze returns to the wall. Y/N slowly walks towards the bed, "Wanda, I am so sorry. I wasn't thinking and my temper..." Y/N stops and sighs before taking a seat next to her. "I know that you know exactly how it feels. I shouldn't have said that and I'm sorry." Is all she says before going to stand again.
"Y/N," Wanda calls out, stopping her in her tracks. "It's okay. I understand that you cannot always control your temper. But I can't help you if you don't let me." At this, Y/N returns to her seat next to Wanda.
"I know."
"You need to tell me the truth Y/N."
"I know, I just... I can't talk about everything. Not yet." There was a brief silence before Wanda lifts Y/N's chin to look her in the eyes.
"That's okay, as long as you don't keep shutting me out." Y/N nods in agreement and after what felt like hours of silence, they both decided to watch whatever was on the TV at 2 am.
---
Y/N slowly wakes up the next morning slightly tired, when the events of last night come rushing to the surface. Not noticing that Wanda is awake, she slowly sits up on the edge of the bed and puts her head in her hands. Wanda gives Y/N a minute before moving to sit beside her, placing a hand on her back. She senses that Y/N feels guilty about last night and makes a point not to say anything. Instead, letting Y/N figure out what she wanted.
Y/N sighs before removing her hands from her face. "I... I wasn't completely honest when asked about my eye color." Y/N starts. "When a werewolf takes an innocent's life, their eyes turn blue. My eyes were still red after I got my powers, just a slightly off-red. When the Alpha pack came, their leader had his claws to my girlfriend's throat and, and I lost control of my powers." Y/N starts crying as she relives her worst memory. Wanda does her best to calm her down without speaking. "I tried to use my powers to push them away from her, but their grip was so t-tight on her throat that..."
"It's okay Y/N." Wanda decides to speak up. "I understand, you don't have to relive this."
"I killed her. Maybe not by my own claws, but I am the cause of her death." Another tear slips out and Wanda turns to kneel in front of Y/N.
Lightly grabbing Y/N's face, wiping away the streaks of tears, she speaks softly. "You can't blame yourself for that. You did what you thought was right. Sometimes, things don't go as planned. That doesn't make every bad thing your fault." Y/N only nods and Wanda kisses her cheek. "Come on. I think we both could use some coffee."
