1: The Unity Event

In the beginning, when the world was new , all that existed was a single light. A single beautiful light existing alone in a world of flowers and glistening seas. In her grace , she decided to share this beauty with others and so created life to inhabit the grassy fields , the deep oceans and the vast skies. Together they lived in peace and the light , now known under the name Maia , lived amongst her creations and watched as they evolved into wondrous beings. With new races popping up left and right , you could no longer tell they all originated from one. The lands were so diverse and full of life. It was perfect
But couldn't last

As life continued to evolve and their powers grew , Maia began to feel threatened. With all the pressure of maintaining a perfect world , the light lost her generosity as her heart grew dark with jealousy. Self conscious and paranoid of being overthrown by the people she gave life too , she created a new race , a race designed in her likeness called Starbornes ; beings of power , loyal to their master. No one would escape their watchful eyes or unforgiving wrath. With the Starbornes , Maia began her tyrannical rule over the once peaceful lands. She was relentless with her oppression , sparing no one from her flaming rod of rage.  Many fell victim to her blood thirsty outburst. Young , old , defenceless , brave. No matter the strength they held , no one stood a chance against the seemingly omnipotent creator and her army of unpredictable stars.

After many years of countless deaths , a brave sorcerer of the name Nytfa emerged out of no where with a plan to save ever creature , big and small, from the grasp of the corrupt light. He traveled the lands , gaining supporters and secretly planting seeds of hope throughout the towns stuck in Maia's web of oppression until finally he was ready. With his wisdom in magic , he disguised himself as a Starborne soldier and hid amongst them as he carried out his mission to bring peace and unity back to the world. Day by day he slowly gained the trust of the wicked killers and rose in their ranks until her was allowed to gain access to the Star Spire. The Star Spire was a place of great importance to Maia and her army as it was the first thing she built for her initial creations and where she lived out her days. It was at the top of this tower where he planted his spell , great powerful spell stored in a magic orb, that led to the end of Maia's rule

Using his charisma and new high rank , he lured the entire Starborne army to a gathering around the Star Spire to celebrate Maia's rule. As the festivities commenced, Nytfa snuck to the top of the tower and without a moment of hesitation , activated the orb and unleashed his weapon upon the army.

A great beam of light shot into the air and blinded the group of minions. Before they could even process what happened their life force was quickly yanked from their Utinti's and absorbed into Nytfa's orb , leaving a mass of cold bodies now unable to hurt anymore people. Seeing the beam , Maia rushed to her old home and in a fit of rage attacked Nytfa brutally to the point he was unable to recover. In his dying moments however , he managed to transfer his memories into his orb to guard the unpredictable powers of the Starbornes now trapped inside it. The sorcerer had sadly died that day but succeeded in his dream of creating a world without the looming danger of Starbornes. All apart from Maia

In that moment , without the protection of Nytfa , Maia could have destroyed them all and yet she did ... nothing. Seeing the bodies of her fleet , she swiftly fled and to this day has not been spotted since. With no obvious leader , the creatures who once stayed in their houses with the doors locked tight slowly gathered together and held a memorial for their fallen saviour. They named this day The Unity Event due to how it gave them a new chance to live peaceful , care free lives in unity with one another.

And so the lands of Siderum was established. This peace still stands today. We are now ruled by the caring power of The Unifiers , a governmental group focused on the happiness and safety of the people. Nytfa's orb was taken in by a group of wizards who hid it behind a series of trials so only the most worthy could access the power it brought. Life is simple now. Everyone is safe. Everything is perfect
