Betty couldn't help but notice how cute that guy was, but she tried to push the thought away. She had just gotten her heart broken, and the last thing she needed was to fall for someone else. When Betty finished her dessert, she walked out without goodbye trying not to fall in love.

Over the next few days, Betty found herself frequenting the frozen yogurt shop. As they talked, Betty learned that his name was Alex and he was working at the ice cream shop to save up money for college. As days were passing by, they continued chatting, they bonded over their shared love of books. Alex was kind, funny, and charming, so that made not falling in love as a big challenge for her.

As they chatted, Betty found herself opening up to Alex about her past relationship and how she ended up in this new town. He listened attentively and even shared some of his own stories with her. After a few more visits to the frozen yogurt shop, Betty found herself developing feelings for Jack. But she was scared to let herself fall in love again, afraid of being hurt once more.Betty couldn't believe how easy it was to talk to him, and before she knew it, they were laughing and joking like old friends.

However, Jack was patient and understanding. He never pushed her to open up or rush into anything. He was simply there for her, offering her friendship, even if he wanted something more that that, and support when she needed it.
