Chapter twenty-five - I think I'm in love with you

Start from the beginning

I want this to last forever.

"Are you that turned on by cheesy dates?" he asks suddenly with a smile.

"Cheesy? It's not cheesy." I immediately deny it, walking over to the blanket. "My ex take me to McDonald's and then to the movies." I wince at the thought. I sit down on the blanket, looking gratefully at the sights before me. I'm so damn grateful for this man, for my life, and for being able to enjoy such landscapes. Everything began to be colorful, and life makes sense again. "Come to me." I add after a while.

Max sits down next to me, opening the wine. He pours it into two glasses and hands me one. I take a sip, glancing at the moon, which seems closer than ever.

"You have two questions. Make good use of it." I say suddenly.

"What positions do you want today..." He interrupts seeing my frightened face. He starts laughing at his own joke and puts his head on my shoulder. "What do you like about people? I don't mean looks, but some features, I don't know, maybe gestures?"

"I... I don't know, I guess I'm being cheesy and boring here, because I like it when someone listens to me and maintains eye contact, although I can't always maintain it." I shrug my shoulders.

"It's not cheesy, most would say about money. Have you had any good dates with Lewis?" he glances at me, taking his head from my shoulder. We are just finishing drinking wine, so Max refills our glasses.

"A date with Lewis?" I parry. "I've never had a date in a good way. The one with the movie theater I don't even count, and Lewis once took me to a field full of flowers."

"A little romantic." He cuts into my sentence. I can feel the reluctance in his voice.

"It would be if he knew how to listen to me and knew that I hate red tulips. I prefer white roses, if I have to choose any flowers." I shrug my shoulders. "Oh I know, I would like to go in the future to some nice place where there are plenty of these flowers. I would like to run along the paths between the roses on a warm day, and spend the evening at the viewpoint." I'm starting to think how it would all be so simple, and at the same time give me a lot of happiness....

"Interesting dreams." hands me a glass of poured wine.

"Max?" I ask suddenly as we sit in silence for a while, gloating about what we are seeing.

"Yes?" I glance at him. He's already looking at me. I notice that his attention is always focused on me. No matter how many people wouldn't be next to me, he is always the first to find me with his eyes. "Look." He stands up, pointing at the sky. I also get up, standing next to him. We both look at the next shooting star.

"Earlier you said you told your mother and sister that you had a crush on someone." I lick my chapped lips. "Do you love me?" I ask more quietly, and he turns toward me.

"Oh God, Charles." He groans embarrassedly, burying his face in his hands.

"Well answer me!"

He sighs loudly and takes his hands away, making eye contact with me again. He puts his glass down next to mine and moves closer to me. I lose my thinking functions when he is so close. His warm breath wraps around my neck. Our lips are so close that it would be enough for move closer and kiss him, but I don't. I wait for a response.

"I think I'm in love with you." He says finally.

"Repeat without that first word." I whisper with a smile, which makes him laugh briefly.

"I am in love with you." he announces, making my smile widen.

I can't stand the tension anymore and I move closer, bringing our lips together in a lust-filled kiss. I am unable to answer him. Not yet, but I think that with actions I can also convey a lot to him. Max immediately reciprocates the kiss, pressing me tightly against his body. I deepen the kiss, entangling my fingers in his hair. The boy's hands begin to wander over my body and stop on my buttocks. He tightens his fingers on them, and I moan quietly into his mouth.
