Aditi had traveled to Punjab for Shahneel's wedding. She arrived a week in advance, eager to lend a helping hand in the preparations. Aditi was working alongside Shahneel and Kerat, to prepare gifts for the soon-to-be in-laws.

"Seema aunty will look gorgeous in that green saree." Aditi suggested.

"Aditi, select some for you as well, and Jewellery jo acchi lage vo bhi le lo." Kerat said, more like ordered her to be daughter in law.

"Mummy, I have many clothes."

"To? Mushkil se 5 saree hogi tere paas. Puchi teri mummy se?"

"3 hai bas. Par saree ka itna shauk-." She stopped midway as kerat glared at her, "ye blue wali achhi lag rahi hai." She muttered slowly. Kerat smiled at her and pulled her cheek.

Amidst the flurry of activity, Ranjeet arrived along with her husband's niece, Heeth. Aditi had heard about Heeth's infatuation with Shubman but she wasn't prepared for the cold reception she received from Heeth.

"Sat sri akal, parjai ji. Ki tussi Shahneel de sahure lai gift di cona kara rahe ho?" kerat nodded at her sister in law. "Ki tussi heeth nu pahchania? Hun hi apni master's degree puri karake London to vapasa ai hai."

"Long time heeth, konse course mai?" Shahneel asked.

"MBA, Univer of East London. It's like one of the bests." She flaunted in fake british accent.

"Oh? Aditi also graduated from London."

"Really!" She shrilled, "from where?"

"Bachelors from University of Manchester and Masters from University College London."

"You must be very rich then! Shah! you have high class friends now." She giggled in a girlsh way.

"I got a full ride. And I'm not only Shahneel's friend but also her to be bhaabhi." Shahneel and her shared a mischievous look.

"Oh, Jugs didn't tell me he had a girlfriend!"

"Uh, no. Aditi is Shubman's fiancée! Ranjeet you didn't tell her?" Kerat questioned.

Heeth's expression turned icy as she regarded Aditi with thinly veiled disdain. "Oh, the fiancée ," she said dismissively, her tone dripping with condescension.

Aditi remained composed, her smile unfaltering as she extended her hand towards Heeth. "Nice to meet you, Heeth," she said politely, refusing to let Heeth's attitude rattle her.

Heeth's eyes narrowed as she reluctantly shook Aditi's hand. "Likewise," she replied curtly, her tone laced with hostility.

As the preparations continued, Heeth's snide comments and passive-aggressive behavior towards Aditi became increasingly apparent. Aditi felt a surge of annoyance bubbling within her, but she refused to stoop to Heeth's level. Instead, she focused on the task at hand, determined not to let Heeth's negativity dampen her spirits.

As the evening wore on, the atmosphere in the Gill's house buzzed with excitement as preparations for the sangeet were in full swing. Shahneel, Shubman along with their cousin and Aditi, gathered in the living room to practice their dance routines.

Heeth's constant comments about Shubman and her supposed superiority as a dancer began to grate on Aditi's nerves. "Isko kisne bulaya." Jugnu asked Shubman in hushed whispers.
