ch.5 - love comes in france

Start from the beginning

I watched as everyone settled their plates, filling them with their favorite dishes and passing around the bowls of food. There was laughter and chatter, the familiar sounds of a happy family. I couldn't help but smile, knowing that these were the moments I would treasure forever.

My gaze shifted to Aurora, who was giggling as she playfully wiped a smudge of lettuce off of my brother August's lip. He chuckled in response, and I could see the love and adoration in their eyes as they looked at each other. They were always so playful and carefree around each other, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for their strong relationship bond.

And as I turned to look at my parents, my heart swelled with love. Even after all these years of marriage, they still looked at each other with the same love and admiration as they did when they first met. It was a true testament to the strength and depth of their love.

I remembered the stories my parents would tell us about how they met as kids, and how it was love at first sight. It seemed almost impossible, but it was true. They had been through so much together, from childhood to adulthood, and yet their love had never wavered.

It was amazing to think about how far they had come, from being carefree children to responsible adults with a huge home and three kids. And yet, they were still inseparable, always by each other's side.

As I took a bite of my food, I couldn't help but feel grateful for my family and the love that bound us together. I knew that no matter what challenges we faced in life, we would always have each other's backs.

And as we finished our meal and the evening came to an end, I hugged each and every one of them, feeling lucky to have such a loving and supportive family. It was a dinner that I would never forget, filled with happiness, love, and cherished memories.

As I went up to my room and laid on my bed, my mind couldn't help but wander to thoughts of being in a relationship. It seemed like everyone in my family had someone to love except for me. And I couldn't help but feel a little envious. I knew I should be patient and that love would find its way to me, but in that moment, I couldn't help feeling a little frustrated.

I imagined what it would be like to have that special someone in my life. To be able to spend time with them, wrapping my arms around them and forbidding to let go, watch movies while eating snacks, make conversations, to love and cherish each other, and make each other happy. It all seemed so perfect in my mind.

I made a promise to myself that night, that I would not give up on love. I would be patient and wait for the right person to come into my life. And when that happens, I would do anything and everything to make them happy. Because that's what love is all about, isn't it? Sacrificing your own happiness for the one you love.

As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope and excitement for what the future holds. And I knew that someday, just like August and Aurora, I would also have someone special to love and hold close.

The next day, the wind whipped through my hair as I strolled down the bustling sidewalks of Paris, my loyal companion Paris (my cat, I mean) by my side. As I took in the sights and sounds of the city, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the chance to explore and immerse myself in this vibrant culture.

I had been in the city for a few days now, and while I had spent most of my time settling into my new home, I decided it was time to venture out and truly experience all that this city had to offer. And what better way to do that than with my beloved cat in tow?

I made sure to keep a tight grip on Paris' leash as we weaved through the crowds of people, eager to discover some hidden gems around the city. I knew Paris was more of an indoor cat, but I couldn't resist taking him on a little adventure. He seemed to be enjoying himself, taking in all the new sights and scents of this foreign place.

As we walked past the elegant buildings and charming cafes, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee caught my attention. My stomach grumbled in response, and I realized I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. Thankfully, I had some cash in my pockets, and I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try a cup of coffee in Paris.

I led Paris to a nearby café and tied him up outside, making sure he was safe and secure before heading inside. The cozy interior was filled with the aroma of coffee and the chatter of people, and I found a quiet corner to sit and enjoy my drink.

As I sat in the cozy café, sipping on my steaming cup of coffee, I couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over me. It was the perfect way to start my morning, especially before taking my furry companion Paris for another walk. I took a deep breath, savoring the warm aroma of the coffee before placing my cup back on the saucer.

I untied the hook of the leash attached to the bike railing and waited for Paris, who was busy stretching and getting ready for our walk. I smiled at his antics and took a moment to appreciate his playfulness. With a gentle tug on the leash, Paris was ready to go and we headed towards the nearby park.

As we strolled past the cobblestone streets and towards the park, I could see the happy and content faces of the people and couples sitting on the grassy area. Their laughter and chatter filled the air, adding to the already peaceful atmosphere of the park. I couldn't resist but to feel happy for them, knowing that they were making the most of their time together.

We continued our walk, meandering through the park and taking in the beautiful scenery. The lush green trees, the colorful flowers, and the soft sound of birds chirping created a serene environment that I couldn't get enough of. I could see the joy and contentment in Paris' eyes as well as she explored her surroundings.

Before leaving the park, my eyes kept capturing the breathtaking view around me. I took out my phone and snapped a quick picture, wanting to remember this moment forever. I couldn't help but admire the beauty and tranquility that the park carried, a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. And quickly, I posted the picture on my Instagram.
