In the echoes of our beginning's sweetness,
I danced in love, my heart complete.
But shadows crept, my spirit cleft,
Lost in a web where doubts were left.I changed for you, a metamorphosis grand,
Yet I lost myself in shifting sand.
You never saw the beauty within,
Left me to wither, in my own chagrin.Tears fall like rain, tracing our past,
A journey of love, too fleeting to last.
Where did I err, in this wistful tale?
In loving too deep, in the wind's frail gale?Gaslighted, trampled, my spirit scorned,
In love's cruel game, I was left forlorn.
But from the ashes, I rise anew,
A phoenix of strength, bid the old adieu. For love, though tender, can wield its blade,
Leaving scars where once dreams played.
But in letting go, I found my truth,
In self-love's embrace, eternal youth. So farewell to you, my bittersweet pain,
In solitude's solace, I shall reign.
For I deserve more than you could bestow,
In loving myself, I finally grow.
