Shadow Pack
Gabriel's backyard

The next morning, Gabriel stands in the backyard of his house with Sofia, talking about the day’s festivities.

“The Alphas will be arriving soon. Go get dressed.” Gabriel gives her a frustrated look,

“Do I have to attend this stupid gathering?” She gives him a look that makes him sigh and walks to the house. He goes upstairs to get dressed, and when he comes back down, Auriella is filling a bucket of water, giggling mischievously. She is wearing a medium-height blue dress and a pair of sneakers. Her blond hair is pulled into a messy bun, revealing her glowing face. She notices Gabriel staring at her and turns. Silence follows for a few awkward moments.

“Hi.” He nods,

“Hey.” He looks at the water bucket and frowns,

“What are you doing?” She turns back to the bucket and smirks.

“Remember when I asked you if you wanted to mess with that Alpha, um, Larry?” he tilts his head, confused,

“What? Who are you talking about?”

“You know. That guy from the River Pack.” He chuckles low,

“You mean Darren?” she nods her head,

“Yea, I remember. Why are you filling up that bucket?” she turns to me with a devilish look,

“I have a plan.” He nods his head, still looking at her confused. She looks at him,

“What?” He looks her up and down,

“You look nice.” She smiles, grateful for the compliment,

“Thank-”

“Is this some sort of trap.” He looks at the water bucket, “Is that supposed to be for me?” A frown makes its way onto her face,

“Why would it be for you?” He crosses his arms,

“Remember two weeks ago, when I pranked you and you say you would get back at me?” she laughs, shaking her head,

“No, no, it’s not for you. It’s for Larry-”

“Darren.”

“Darren, Larry, whatever. It sounds the same.”

“It literally does not.” She puts the water down,

“It does too.” He stares at her, eyes narrowed, and lips pursed. He leans forward and whispers,

“It does not.” She purses her lips too,

“Does. Too.” He flicks her forehead,

“Stop it.” She rubs the place he flicked,

“Ow! Why’d you do that?” He shrugs,

“Because I can.” She playfully smacks him on the arm,

“Be nice. Anyway. I am going to put water above the door. When he walks in, there is a splash of water all over him. Then, next door, I am going to put scrambled eggs. When he walks in, sploosh, eggs all over him. Then, the third door, I am going to put flour. When he walks through the door, sploosh, flour all over him.” She cackles, “It’s going to be hilarious. I am going to give you the phone, record everything. The code word is welcome, then start recording.”

“Why don’t we just punch him?” She frowns,

“What fun is that?”

“We can record it in slow motion.” She shakes her head,
