C.J Stroud / Male Reader

Start from the beginning

"I kind of figured the way he was talking to you."

Dalton reminisces on his targeted teasing.

"Y'all have some kind of rivalry?"

He plays with the idea.

"You could say that."

I shrug.

I don't see it that way, but I can see how it looks.

"That sucks, good on you for not engaging with that stupid shit."

"Thanks man."

2nd Quarter, 1st possession

We secure two first downs and the ball is tossed to me and I search for someone to throw it to, but no one's open.

My eyes spot Y/n L/n and Travon Walker catching up to me.

Oh fuck, seriously?

Travon tries to snag me, but I dodge him, I trick Y/n somehow and gun for the first down myself.

In a matter of four seconds max, I'm on the ground.

"Damnit."

I complain at the situation.

"You almost had me there C.J."

I hear Y/n's voice come up from behind me.

"Good play."

He once a-fucking-gain extends his hand to me.

I much by his surprise, accept it.

"Leave me be."

I get out as he aids me to my feet.

"What's the harm?"

"I'm just trying to talk to you."

He claims.

"Please don't."

I tell him gazing at him, before striding away.

Halftime

"Wait up C.J."

He still hasn't given up?

Geez.

"Y/n!"

I squawk as he's behind me in the Texan's tunnel.

"You're not supposed to be over here."

I point out to my former teammate.

"I wanted to have a conversation with you."

He steps closer towards me.

I take a deep breath to calm myself.

Keep cool, like you always do.

"Bye Y/n."

I conclude with him.

"Baby what did I do?"

He quieres me upsettly.

Seriously he's pulling this?

I thought he was a little more mature than that.

"You know what you did."

I look him up and down.

"Aye, aye back up."

Dalton comes to my defense, immediately getting between us.

"What's going on C.J?"

Singletary approaches me looking concerned by my aggravated expression.

"Are y'all good?"

Nico examines the situation.

"Please Y/n stop, it's hard enough to see your face here already."
