"Your not as naive as people must think you are. In love with a drug addict yet incredible smart" a smile spread across his face as a small laugh escaped his lips

But that word echoed in her mind, navie. The last thing her father ever called her.
"I'm not navie" she mumbled before sitting up and placing her feet on the ground, though she didn't believe her own words. She was a naive little girl. Just like her dad said, just like Strand just said.

She do would do anything for Nick, anything he asked. Anything for him.

But she knew he would have never changed even if she had hope that he would. But now he had to because he couldn't get drugs anywhere and she was greatful for that. Greatful for the end of the world and that was horrible but it put her priorities in perspective. Maybe she can stop pretending to be so perfect now and find out who she really was

Maybe she was naive but she didn't want to be....

Cassandra slowly opened the door of the room Chris had hidden himself in, the creaking of the door as she walked in making his head shoot up, she tried to hold back a disgusted look as she smelt rotten flesh. She glanced at Liza's body

"What do you want?" Chris whispered, grief and pain evident in his eyes

"I want you to know that your not on your own Chris. I'm here if you want to talk. I get it if you don't want to talk to your dad" the brunette whispered as she crossed the room to crouch beside him

Chris opened his mouth to speak but no words formed he didn't know how to describe what he was feeling - but Cassandra knew, she didn't know how to describe how she felt, how she feels about losing her dad

"It's okay Chris" she whispered, she pulled him into a hug which when he hugged her back wrapping his arms around her, she knew he needed it and she was glad because this was the only way she knew how to comfort someone "I'm here if you need to talk"

"I just I don't-she's my mom"

"I know Chris. She was your mom and she loved you unconditionally" she told him, something Cass never felt from a parent "and she would want you to live okay?"

Chris nodded, turning to his mother's corpse covering her up but not before placing a kiss on her head, she heard him whisper "I'm sorry"

The brunette watched with worried eyes as Chris left the room, probably to go tell his father he was ready to say goodbye or maybe just to get away from something he wishes he could change but Cass stayed put sinking against the wall, resting her head against the cold of the metal, strand calling her naive had left the echoing voice of her father in her mind. The last conversation they had replying

He probably died being disappointed in her and with that thought she felt tears sting her eyes but she wouldn't let them fall

She sat her fingers locked into eachother as she left out small breaths trying to calm herself down, when she heard the door open. She didn't look at who it was because she knew if she moved, she would cry and she didn't want to

She felt someone sit beside her, wrapping there arm around her shoulder and pulling her onto their side

"I'm here" she heard Nick's voice whisper feeling his lips against her forehead and then his hand brushing a peace of hair away from her face, admiring her - he held her close. He knew their was something wrong but he didn't know what so he just held her

Cass let out a sigh almost like her breath was caught in her throat as she buried her head into his neck, feeling safe and comforted. Safe to grevie and fall apart, something she hadn't been able to do because she tried to stay strong for everyone to be perfect
